  1. because the rest of the team has gotten so many hits. The difference is most of our other hitters will perform better the rest of the season, while Theriot will likely suck a lot.
  2. Take it and find a new SS.
  3. Yes, however, Lou complained about the way they were playing, not the results. There's a big difference. You don't want your team to ever play sloppy/non-fundamental. Spring training is played so that these things can be fixed. I see no problem with what Lou did. I don't know about what Ozzie said or did, nor do I care.
  4. Final post in this thread. I promise. I listed them on ebay. There's about 20 or so hours left. i believe it's set to end at 7pm or so tonight (Wednesday). It's only around $30 for the pair right now. It'll probably go up, but I bet it'll end up being much below face value (which is $113). Here's the link if anyone is interested. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260222674005&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=016 And in case anyone cares, I had my pharmacy interview at UIC on Monday and it went VERY well.
  5. I might try to make it up to Toronto to see Venezuela vs US
  6. Losing St. Mary's hurts. I only had them winning one game, but a lot of ppl in my pool went with Miami. At least I got Davidson right, I guess. Feel sorry for the people who picked the Zags to do serious damage.
  7. Stephen Curry is a beast. Go Davidson. St. Mary's and Drake are showing life. I could really use a St. Mary's comeback win. I don't care what Drake does. I only have them winning the first game and I doubt that many people picked against them in the first round.
  8. Thanks! If anyone happens to have had a pharm school/med school interview in the past couple years, I'd love to hear some tips or ideas of what types of questions to expect. My wife is a pharmacist and her dad is the dean of pharmacy at SIUE, so I'll ask her if she has any suggestions. My brother is also a professor of clinical pharmacy at UL-Monroe, so he may have some ideas as well. Thanks, Vance. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have my first interview Monday at UIC (my first choice). If you hear anything that might help me send me a PM or something. Thanks, a lot.

  10. One last attempt. I'm gonna list them on ebay tomorrow if I don't see any interest before then.
  11. So I just found out that I got an interview for pharmacy school at Midwestern on Wednesday, April 2nd. I also have 2 tickets to the Cubs game that day. The seats are section 33, row 4. Really, really good seats. I'm pretty bummed I can't go, but getting into pharmacy school is a little bit more important. I paid $113 with fees for the two tickets. So I'm hoping someone here would like to go so I don't have to worry about ebay or stubhub. Send me a PM if you're interested. btw, they are the hard copy tickets and not the print at home ones if that matters to anyone.
  12. If you get to keep 2000 points, ARod can take up 1/3 of those. I can think of several reasons not to keep ARod. For example: ARod costs me 700 points out of 2000. I draft first. I drop ARod, and keep more guys, then draft him. Or, I also have Garrett Atkins on my team, and my pitching was young and should be maturing into a great staff. I keep those pitchers, because ARod's value is not as high, relatively speaking. On my team, I got to keep 1800 points, and players with 3 or fewer years of service are points exempt. If I had had ARod, instead of Atkins (who is points exempt), keeping Alex would have meant dropping BJ Upton and Jake Westbrook. That would have been worth it. But, if it had meant dropping Jimmy Rollins and AJ Burnett, I don't think it would have been. Especially considering that guys like Miguel Cabrera and ARam were also released and available int he draft. It's all relative. Yeah, makes sense now. I didn't realize it was done by points. I thought you just got to keep a certain number of players.
  13. Why would anyone choose not to keep ARod? There must have been some rule not allowing him to be kept.
  14. I wish Sefolosha was a better shooter.
  15. As I'm sure you all know...June 20-21 is sold out.
  16. Yes, you need to just keep resubmitting. Usually takes 5-10 tries.
  17. Just got through. My sunday cubs/sox bleacher tickets were in the 500s. So if they start from 0 and go up, there should be a lot left. So don't give up hope.
  18. why don't you buy 6 next time and help me out? :D or at least buy 6 and ebay 2 to make some cash.
  19. Wow...congrats. How many windows/tabs do you have running?
  20. In the past, the title of the page would change. Thanks, hopefully it doesn't change to something else starting with Virtual cause all I can see is "Virt" on all my tabs cause I have so many open now. It's usually Chicago Cubs Ticketing...or something to that affect. It would be brilliant of the Cubs to make it not change. So many people would be getting through and not even know it.
  21. I'm sure the first person who gets in will rub it in everyone's face.
  22. So is there any point in opening up windows right now?
