Well, that was great timing... I don't quite care enough to muster up an UGH but I'm slightly annoyed. Rooting for the Cards tonight? Rooting for the Cards the rest of the year, except when they face us. 6.5 games is not a ton to make up To each his own. Personally, Id like to see them stomped into oblivion.

Stupid Cards up 3-1 on the stupid Marlins. With Cy Lohse on the mound, this ones all but over.

Holy hell, the Red Sox scored 10 runs against Texas in the first inning. They're on pace for 90 runs, an with the Rangers pitching staff, it could happen.

I dont know, if Braun isnt back in the Brewers lineup, they really dont outmatch the Padres by much. I mean Adrian Gonzales, Kevin Kouzmanoff, and Brian Giles are a respectable heart of the lineup, and Scott Hairston is swinging the bat OK, and Jody Fn Gerut is OPSing over .800. Im not saying theyre the Angels, but there not the Natspos either, Plus, the Brewers have Suppan on the mound. Edit: I didnt realise The Brewers were missing both Peavy and Young this series. The Pads better win tonight. I'm fairly sure the Brewers get Peavy tomorrow night. According to the pitching probables, they get some guy named Banks vs. Sabathia. Edit Never mind, its Peavy vs. Sheets. That should be on hell of a pitchers dues at Petco.

Similar tothe Manny/Boston situation, they accused him of not really trying because he wanted out, which he was vocal about. But then again, I could be confusing it with his Padres exit. I know it happened with him once early in his career.

As long as the Cards and Brewers dont take any flyers. Let the Brewers have him. He doesn't have a place to place with Braun, Hart, and Fatty playing LF, RF, and 1B. He is likely to just hurt their team I'm kinda guessing Sheff isn't welcome back in Milwaukee. Oh yeah, I forgot about his unfavorable exit from there the first time around. Still, I could see the Cards picking him up ala Larry Walker in 2004, especially depending on Ankiels return.

I'm getting tired of seeing people bitching about the Brewers schedule (not that you're bitching, and not that this is directed towards you). Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Cubs and Brewers basically play the same teams the same number of times this year? More or less. The difference is we played more easy teams in the early months and Milwaukee is getting a lot of them at the end. Not convenient. As far as "good" teams go, the Cubs have 3 vs. the Marlins, and 4 each vs. the Mets and Phillies, and The Brewers have 4 vs. The Phils and 3 each vs. the Mets and Dodgers, and we have 7 vs. eachother. we have 6 games left vs. the Cards, where as they have 2. Other than that, its all Reds, Pirates, Astros for us, with a series vs. the Nats and one @ the Braves, and the Brewers have 2 series vs. the Badres mixed in with their NL Central dregs.

How did the Indians go from the 2007 team that almsot made the WS to the disasterous 2008 team? At least we had 2004 as some what of a transition year before the bottom dropped out in '05 and '06. -
Kind of funny how A. the Tigers think that Garcia will contribute this season and B. The Tigers still think they're in the race.

If you are referring to my post, I didn't say they would sweep I said they "should absolutely sweep". They shouldn't. It doesn't work that way. That's like saying the worst team in baseball should lose every game. Or that the best team should win every game. the problem with the sweep is, while I dont know the exact stats, Jason Marquis pitches tommorow, and the Braves have pretty much owned him throughout his career.

We officially have no excuse to lose to Dusty Bakers Reds ever again, at least this season. I just hope we dont come face to face with the D Backs come October.
