I just had a funny thought of Ward on the top steps coming out and charging onto the field when he all the sudden stops, looks around and sees no one behind him. I can see him charging out and envisioning 25 hot dogs and hamburgers.

We need to beat this Florida team once & for all. Especially since there's an actual chance the Brewers won't sweep this weekend. The Dodgers have a scary lineup now, especially if Nomar can produce. I wouldn't say scary. I would say "perhaps good enough given an excellent pitching staff." I'd still rather face the Dodgers in the NLDS than Arizona any day of the week. I might be mistaken, but I believe a contusion is typically just a skin injury. A scrape or bruise or something like that. I wouldn't think that would require him to miss any time. I remember Theriot had a foot contusion, and he missed a game or 2. I think it was more like a deep bruise.

There's a whole laundry list of pitchers that could be added to that list. Trachsel is the first to come to mind. Yeah, but Trasch had a solid few seasons mixed in. Was Tavarez ever aything better than mediocre?

Yeah, we can absorb it, but we'd much rather have him. Same with Soriano. We absorbed it, but we werent the same team.
