    All we need is that 1 superstar bat. We have guys being paid superstar money, but dont give the production, at least consitantly. We need a Pujol, an A Rod, a Vlad. Other than that, were OK.

    I know theres a lot of people out there saying this is it, Im done with these losers. Maybe part of us thinks its true. Its not. It wont even be until spring training. As soon as the hot stove starts heating up, we'll all be back into it. Granted, Id like to burn every piece of Cubs memorabilia I own, most of the players too. Ever see the Jim Carey movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, where theres a machine that can erase any person from your memory? If they could do that for me with the Cubs, Id be much happier, but until such technology exists, all of us are going to take every ounce of emotional abuse this team dishes out year after year.

    The fact is, these guys just didnt come out to play playoff baseball, plain and simple. And for the record, even if it wa sa 7 game series, wed still be down 3 games, and this team hasnt played like one that woulkd take 4 straight.

    I know people around here love correcting silly mistakes, so I'm surprised that nobodys stopped to ask how we'll manage to go to the World Series without winning the next 3.

    Huh? Rays or any team in baseball would kill for a payroll like the Cubs, Red Sox, or Yanks. And any of those teams woukd kill for the talent on the Rays. Of course, in a few years time, they'll probably be over paying for those players.

    I cant hold it back anymore. The Rays are just an awesome team to watch. As a cohesive unit, Ive never seen anything like them. They are truely good at baseball. Please dont go the way of the Yankees, Red Sox, and Cubs and start going after over priced garbage.

Gee, I wonder if they'll pick that up. And then of course, well, you know...that guy who no team wanted this year, even for minimun wage
