  1. Is it me, or does Miles look a lot like ted Lilly without his goatee?
  2. It shows how little faith Lou has in his offense that hed rather walk the guy with 1 out and a 1 run deficit than conceed the run for the out.
  3. So what is the suggestion? You cant lose your top offensive player and expect a career minor leaguer and 2 journeymen utility players to fill the void. If no trade is going to happen. we need something.
  4. For the love of [expletive] God Jake [expletive] Fox is not the [expletive] savior, give it up. well for the love of [expletive] God, we sure as [expletive] need [expletive] something, so stop [expletive]ing telling me what to [explative] think. See, I can [explative] too to prove my point. Your a broken record man, Id guess that 80% of your damn posts since the beginning of the season have had the word Fox in there. What part of his defense is so atrocious that the Cubs dont think he can play any position at the major league level do you not get? Deal with it and get over it, because no matter how many times you post about Jake Fox, its not going to change the fact that if the Cubs thought he could help them right now, hed be up. Sometimes you can afford to have a guy whose there strictly for his bat. If we carried Daryl Ward and Cliff Floyd in '07, we can carry Fox now, and I can guarantee you that they are beginning to at least consider the idea.
  5. Hopefully at least Dempster gets 1 more inning before the 3 headed monster comes in and puts in out of reach.

  7. There are 8 other guys in this game Id rather punch in the face, and they aint Cardinals.
  8. We really need to find a way to get Jake Fox on this team. We need all the help we can get.
  9. Theres no excuse not to be able to scrape up a few runs vs. the Cards pen for 4 innings.
  10. The way the Cubs are hitting, 1 runs going to do em in, so hopefully Dempster can escape unscathed.
  11. Carpenters just a bit too filthy. Hopefully Demp can hang and Carp will be out by the 7th.
  12. If the Rox would give up Atkins for DeRo, surely we could put together something for Atkins.
  13. whatever Fox is or isnt capable of, having Freel, Miles, and Scales on the same team is like having Neifi, Jose Macias, and rookie Ryan Theriot on the same team.
  14. What you keep ignoring and not responding to is that the Cubs have "gone cold" for 101 years. Maybe its some strnge mystical occurance, but its more likely a coincedence. The Cubs teams of different eras have no coralation with one another. Yeah, some wack job put a curse on them, but Im sure that almost every team in baseball has had some kind of hex put on them by some goof job, but since the Cubs have dropped the soap so many times, it always comes back to that.
  15. AA is quite nice. Lambert is actually looking better than Coleman. Iowa is nice too, but they're all in their all AAAAers in their late 20's
  16. You're taking this entirely too seriously. Yeah, Ill be surprised if 10 of these guys ever play a big league game with ther Cubs, or if 5 of them play a full season with us. Maybe (hopefully) a handfull of them are on their way to San Diego in the next few months. Im just saying that while we may not have that uber prospect, although Vitters could be on the way, we have a nice, solid farm system going.
  17. As opposed to the consensus on most of those other guys that they will end up playing out their days in the indepenent leagues? The real question is if that team stepped on the field in 2012, how many games would they lose? I'm guessing 147. You obviously didnt get the hyopthetical part, that this is IF these guys were to reach their full potential.
