    Perfect description of the game. I just knew they weren't going to score. Really didn't have a legitimate chance. Whereas the last game I threw my hands up 4-5 times in the first period, I never once got excited like, "ok, we're going to score here". Maybe it was the team's lack of energy, but I knew it wasn't going to end well. Similar feeling, but it was more of an expectation that they'd lose game 3 and then win the next three.

    This isn't second guessing. It always pisses me off when managers make the wrong decisions and then pretend the only way to realize it was the wrong decision was by second guessing.

    what do you mean throw out? One of the things in favor of the two "lesser" prospects is that there are two of them. If the better guy gets hurt, that underscores part of the value of having quantity. You can't ignore that part of the equation. I think he's referring to Tim's idea of figuring out if BA has gotten any better at picking out future successful Major Leaguers. Yes, this. I don't expect anyone to predict that Mark Prior will get flipped by Marcuse Giles and then have Brad Hawpe hit a liner off of his throwing elbow. You didn't have to predict the specifics once Dusty was hired.

    saw one at cedar point last year, this guy had a cheesy looking royal flush with the caption (verbatim): "its the cards your delt in life, its how you play the game" maybe he woke up every morning and wiped some snot after the first its. that would certainly live up to his motto
