  1. Loosely translated this means let the bears get rolled. Chicago travels down to New Orleans this week and are 6.5 point dogs? It was 5 prior to the Chargers game. So getting blown out by Herbert gives Vegas a little more confidence in Derek Carr, who has mixed in some stinkers with solid games. Competent veteran QBs can run roughshod over this team, and by most measures, Carr qualifies for this category. will fields play? Probably not. But the saints have a good enough pass defense to create a major challenge to this group.
  2. Yeah. My assumption of the script is Poles gets to hire a new coach. The bears have two draft picks around 4 and 8, then waste them by trading up for a guy at the top. They get off to a good start under the new regime but Poles fails to fix glaring holes out of an abundance of caution and is ousted after 2025. The next GM is given all the benefit of the doubt because the “cupboard was bare” and the QB wasn’t his guy.
  3. The bears did leave about 100 yards of passing offense on the table from ref/drop issues. They could have done more but chose to be a running team when down 3 scores
  4. It’s not muscles, it’s ability. He doesn’t have it. You don’t just learn how to thrown a football in your 20s.
  5. Awful qb, but that’s not an interception
  6. It’s not the decisions as much as the physical ability
  7. Kyle Collinsworth has nothing bad to say about the bad QB.
  8. Awful drive by bagent while the nbc guys offer praise
  9. The one to Moore was a legit great nfl throw
  10. Chargers gonna hit the over on their own
  11. so Maryland sucks, eh?
  12. I’d charter a plane to fly him to newark, pick him up on the tarmac only to drop him off at departures to see him headline that trade
  13. The list looks way better than spotty to me. Bare minimum, it’s spotty at worst. But Rodgers and Flynn alone is a better track record in the past 25 seasons than probably all but a handful of teams. Throw in two solid guys in the 90s that went on to good careers and I’d say it’s darn right exemplary. Who has done better? The Chargers? Indy? Maybe Dallas. Regardless, the organization’s history of drafting QBs is meaningless when it comes to what to expect in 2024. The same is true for the Bears.
  14. I’d rather not Poles trade for anybody at this juncture
  15. 30 years of HOF play sort of negates the need to swim in those waters.
  16. Another phone call and email follow up. How many times do I have to tell them I don’t want season tickets?
  17. How does Steve young not fit this? its mind boggling to me that some people think QBs just come into league and succeed or fail based on their own abilities. It’s a really silly theory that flies in the face of so many examples.
  18. The groundhogs day phenomenon tells us he won’t turn his career around elsewhere.
