They have similar body types, are three months apart in age and both need to hit a hell of a lot to make it in the majors. However, Schwarber is a guy who was able to catch in college and should be able to at least handle LF or 1B as a pro, while Vogelbach is a guy who was questionable to be able to stick at 1B from the day he was drafted out of high school. Vogelbach did shred the NWL as an 18 year old. But I think a big difference is the 20/30 pounds on their not tall at all frames. Vogelbach was "praised" for getting down to where he was at to at least give himself a chance, but now he can't hit. Schwarber should not have to actually lose weight, and there is still a chance he can stick at C, a position where even modest offense would make him extremely valuable.
