  1. I think it was on the radio pregame last night, they said he hurt it stepping on first base during one of his at bats on Monday. So he stepped on first in more than one at bat in the game? That's a plus.
  2. Players should sprint around the bases or they're not Playing the Game the Right Way. It didn't work out very well when Oscar Taveras tried to get home fast 9.4? .287
  3. Well optioned to AAA doesn't count, but the thread lives.
  4. you don't say No, he did say. He's said it many times. Surprised you missed it.
  5. Through about 20 words I assumed you were an EMT.

  8. I remember buying cassettes and bait at kmart when I was little but I have not been inside a K-Mart since probably 1994 and never saw a Little Caesars in one. But I have seen Pizza Hut inside of Target stores, it's pretty common to have that kind of combo.
  9. Is it really all that easy to find good lf bats?
  10. Not the first time I've tried to jump on the bandwagon in the playoffs (in like a "maybe if I get sucked in at its best, I can actually learn to like this" type of way). Last year I watched most of the Kings series. Then they lost game 7 and I forgot about hockey again. It's not the Hawks awesomeness I have to learn to like. It's hockey. I find it hard to watch because of the frenetic pace coupled with the low scoring. I can handle low scoring low pace games and high scoring high pace (ala basketball). With hockey I have no idea when something good is going to happen (a goal) until it happens, which means you have to have your focus on the game at all times if you want to see the scoring. That's how it is for me, at least. I don't know hockey like I know baseball and football because I never played it competitively. It has taken time but eventually you get to the point where you see when a good thing is about to happen before it does. It's pretty amazing how fast it has to happen and you will appreciate that speed and pace.
  11. If the Cubs can't win on their own I don't want them to win.
  12. Yea I'm with you. I guess what I don't get is why they feel the need to have one in right field too. Because it brings in revenue.
  13. For one, other teams will also be able to sign those guys and some of them have budgets that dwarf the cubs. Also, you need at least 5 starting pitchers and the more good ones you have, the better.
  14. My friend is a vegetarian used to order this shrimp wrap that had bacon in it. She would ask for no bacon, waiter/waitress would confirm and without fail it would show up with bits of bacon in it. She was a trooper though. I applaud her willingness to attend. She also respected the value of the bacon and has not pushed her antimeat stance on her children.
  15. That happened to me with Doritos
  16. Yeah they did. I mean, I respect pretending 2003 never happened, but...
  17. so much stranger saliva
  18. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-danks-sox-lawsuit-fall-20150529-story.html#page=1 Suddenly, Danks heard a "loud bang." He looked away from his computer and saw his friend, 29-year-old Blake Papst, lying nearby on the wooden deck. Papst, who was standing on a roof above the deck with his brother, had fallen about 10 feet. What followed immediately is in dispute but everyone is clear on one detail: An ambulance was not called. Instead, Danks and his two friends eventually went to sleep inside the condo, leaving Papst alone on the deck. "He didn't act like he was very hurt," Danks later testified, according to court papers. "I mean, he almost acted like he got the wind knocked out of him more than anything." But Papst was seriously injured; he has not walked again.
