  1. Well Corey was what, 26 years old with a fading prospect star when he started competing for the job?
  2. Crawford got paid what Jimmy Howard got paid. It was an overpayment but in two years time it will seem like a bargain. The Hawks don't win this year or 2013 without him. Not calling you out in particular but what is it in this town with backup goalies and backup QB's? Crawford was the backup goalie. Eh he was at least a prospect and a former high pick. So was Jimmy Clausen
  3. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/17/sports/baseball/st-louis-cardinals-hack-astros-fbi.html?smid%3D=tw-nytsports&_r=0 [tweet] [/tweet] WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. and Justice Department prosecutors are investigating front-office officials for the St. Louis Cardinals, one of the most successful teams in baseball over the past two decades, for hacking into the internal networks of a rival team to steal closely guarded information about player personnel. Investigators have uncovered evidence that Cardinals officials broke into a network of the Houston Astros that housed special databases the team had built, according to law enforcement officials. Internal discussions about trades, proprietary statistics and scouting reports were compromised, the officials said.
  4. I still can't believe Stamkos didn't elevate that puck.
  5. Just making sure you know he's not Russian, right? Given the context of him mentioning Crosby and why people can dislike him first, I think he's talking about teams led by russians like Ovechkin. True, watching this video I can see how uninspiring having that guy be your inspiring presence would be. http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/watch-hockey-night-in-canadas-nhl-season-ending-montage-1711589338 keep poooshing boys, keep poooshing
  6. Just making sure you know he's not Russian, right? Still talks funny do (And not in a cute way like when our neighbors up north say about) I'll give you that. He is seemingly the most hated guy on the team, going by all the reactions from the teams he has "abandoned".

  8. that was as much of a team shutout as you could get. also, as has been repeated a million times but dunces like you can't figure out. It's not hating Crawford it's hating his contract. The skaters won the cup again and they need cap space for more skaters if they want to win another.
  9. it's a little disheartening how many cardinals fans are apparently blackhawks fans. Kind of feel a little icky enjoying all these titles
  10. Goalies are not quarterbacks. It is not the least bit close to a comparison. It is a crazy comparison. The Blackhawks have won because of their skaters, not their goalies. You win because of your ~12 best skaters. That couldn't be further from the truth. I made the goalie Qb comparison because the meatballs in this town love the backup QB and backup goalie. You made a terrible comparison.
  11. He really shaped into a good option, and I completely forgot he's been a part of four seasons now.

  13. Couldn't disagree more. Yeah, I absolutely love Saad. Toews, Kane, Saad, Keith, Hammer, Crawford are the core. There's a really good chance that Teuvo is part of that core next year. I thought his nerves really showed last night. they did, but that doesn't change the fact that he's part of the core
  14. http://deadspin.com/the-blackhawks-run-is-more-impressive-than-a-dynasty-1711630764
  15. The Blackhawks have the benefit of being the only great team in Chicago and being an NHL team, which means way less exposure than any other league. It's harder to hate when you aren't part of an obnoxious championship laden city that still acts like they've never won anything (Boston). They also play a fast entertaining style with stars, rather than a slow boring goon-fest. Now, if the Cubs and Bears manage to win while the Blackhawks are still good, you can bet the hatred will grow.
  16. I have never seen anything like that swarming team defense they played last night. Any time it looked remotely like the Lightning had something going, a Blackhawks player poked the puck free. And Tampa gave up with a minute to go. Kind of shocking. They waited way too long to pull their goalie and then the Hawks destroyed their will.
  17. I'll wait before participating in this one.
  18. I think we'll get value for both. We always do. People make a big deal about how teams should just punish us for our hubris, but in the end someone will want these players. Who wants Bickell other than the fact he helps you reach the cap floor? Nhl teams live putting Stanley cup winning players on their roster.
  19. Still? No [expletive] way Wishful thinking on David's part. in what way? i just think the bulls, cubs, and bears max out higher i'm definitely biased but i felt like even when the sox won the series it was mostly ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh as far as the bandwagon went Why are you still here?
  20. I felt like the day he was out would be the day the Hawks could move forward but I never dreamed of this. I always come back to this: I was listening to that game on the radio at work, and couldn't wait to get home to see the highlight. Hearing the other team's announcers gush like that really drove home how special it was about to become. Avalanche?
