So it sounds like they are going to shut down the catcher thing after a while and probably move him into LF for a short period of time before a callup? I'm hoping this is something they'll do closer to August than September. It's not just the season. He came off as an unfriendly, crotchety guy at the Cubs Convention too. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there I can't imagine more than a handful of players would actually want to be at the Cubs Convention. Former players in need of attention and a paycheck sure, but I would be skeptical of actual current players that wanted to be there.

I didn't know that about Ross so I reserve the right to complain about him at any time. But for the record I am not currently complaining.

From my experience, being in NY for half the Bulls run and now with the Blackhawks. NY fans hated the Bulls a hell of a lot more than they hate the Blackhawks (which they do not appear to hate at all). I know jealous Penguins, Boston, Rangers, Devils and Islanders fans but they really respect the Hawks success. Philly fans hate them but they hate everything, including themselves and their own teams.
