  1. No, I didn't say they have a license to suck. I said they have no pressure to shove a rookie QB into the starting lineup right away. A Super Bowl win buys you time. It just seems like throwing a rookie QB on a team that just won the SB but suddenly has no QB at all isn't exactly a clear cut low pressure scenario. That's a bizarre way of thinking. They do have pretty much the definition of the blah game manager at QB in Sanchez, who is good for a laugh but could easily replicate what Denver has been getting from the position.

  3. It better be a strength because they won't be lighting up the scoreboard. What is the front 7 depth right now?
  4. isn't meeting a professional athlete a major at ASU?
  5. I'm not taking issue with any of what you say (I didn't really care about the risky/best classification anyway...just wanted to see the analysis/info on Floyd) nor do I disagree with any of it except this part. What does that matter? They won a Super Bowl, yes, but their starting QB retired, their other one left via FA. How can they really afford to be patient when they don't really have a quarterback? Or are you just saying they have license to suck for a bit if they have to because they just won one? What does it matter? Seriously? What does winning the Super Bowl last year matter? They won the super bowl last year. The pressure is off for 2016, at least. There is no desperate need to shove a guy who isn't ready into the starting lineup. Desperate teams who trade up into the first to take a QB they need to start right away are taking a risk. Nobody has their job on the line.
  6. I agree, but the NFL DOES make a big deal out of it, which is why its stupid to even go there as a potential NFL draftee. FWIW, my initial responses earlier in the thread were before I knew the video was from years ago. I thought it was something that happened recently, so mea culpa Again. A sizable portion of these guys have all smoked weed at some point. It's not anymore stupid than anything any of these others guys have done in their lives. You are judging by the consequences but not that actual circumstances of what he did and when he did it. People are acting like he chose to smoke in the horsefeathering green room.
  7. You are being ridiculous. He wasn't smoking up in the green room. Somebody attacked him. Lol. Yes someone attacked him with a picture of himself. He's not the first guy to have this happen to him. I know why omc is all worked up but why does anyone else give a [expletive]? He wore the mask like an idiot. He let someone take his pic. And he's still going to make millions of dollars. If Ole miss hadn't paid him to go there, he would have gone somewhere else and may have avoided all this. So we can add Hugh Freeze and omc to the list of people responsible for his actions. He's absolutely the first guy to have this targeted attack minutes before he could have been drafted 3 overall. You're being an idiot about this.
  8. 5 of the 6 "best picks" were top 10 (with Rankins at 12 being the sixth), while 2 of the 3 "riskiest" were 26 and 29 (plus Hargreaves at 11). That makes no sense. Denver taking Lynch wasn't any more risky than the two teams that took QBs much earlier, or just about any other pick. They took a QB late in the 1st after winning a super bowl. They can afford to be patient with him and that is pretty much what everybody says he needed.
  9. that's not the stat. it was the most poles of any city after warsaw, and it's not even true anymore. Well NYC jumped Chicago recently, but they both have roughly 200k poles. There are about 14 cities in Poland besides Warsaw that have more than 200k people. Even if the entire population isn't considered ethnic Polish, there are some cities like Krakow that have over 700k in population. I am not sure if that fun fact was ever true. Maybe it was during the post-war era

  12. Dumb statement I might've had the wrong guy, but as long as the NFL tests for it, it matters. I think your mind would be blown knowing how many nfl prospects and players smoke weed. It does not bode anything for a career.
  13. When weed is that much of a priority for a guy, that does not bode well for an nfl career Dumb statement
  14. What a waste of a trade up.
  15. Biggs says Floyd Bummer
  16. Seriously, the dude was hacked (possibly his personal cell in addition to his twitter) and is losing millions, but he deserves it cuz he took a bong hit in a gas mask. It sucks for Tunsil's career, but sadly stupid decisions come back to bite you sometimes oh stfu Smoking pot isn't a stupid decision you ninny
  17. it tweeted in my eyes

  19. I think they want him available to pitch if things go bad.
  20. I mean, sure, I guess. But Coomer has been the bane of many a radio listener for years now.
  21. Probably. He's got fewer than 600 ABs above high A. He's probably not ready. Sorry but that's [expletive] stupid, we have how many other guys that were called up with the same number of ABs? Willson is ready, and this move is stupid as [expletive]. I hate having catchers that can't hit. lighten up francis
  22. It is not at all possible Forget all the logistical reasons it's not possible, the teams in those regions would raise holy hell if half their home schedule took place in April and September Yeah, the uproar from everybody involved is a big reason why it is not at all possible.
  23. They probably view the Montero thing as a short term injury and in those instances there's no reason to bring up the real prospect when you have a suitable temp available to do exactly what you brought him on board to do.
