  1. lol - was this meant ironically? yes
  2. i knew he was messing around with an old teammate/friend, but i wasn't sure exactly what he was trying to convey there...was he blocking the arrow? putting his hands up so he wouldn't be shot? He caught the arrow.
  3. your back to back world series champion chicago cubs
  4. why are you people so upset. they've already clinched
  5. 4th time through plus their good hitters were coming up. If Kyle gave up a dong, we would have complained that he should have been removed. Yes. You take that outing from Hendricks every time and go to the bullpen there everytime.
  6. There is no way this is true. The best pizza I've ever had is in a place called De Soto, WI. It isn't a stretch to think that a state known for cheese and sausage could find a way to make a fantastic pizza. Then again, I pretty much loathe Chicago Style so I'm quite certain all of my opinions are invalid here. the greatest glass of water i ever drank was after emerging from a desert after 25 days.
  7. There is no way this is true. What? Madison, Milwaukee, Detroit, Iowa City, and Gary are certainly cities where you can find a good pizza. so the existence of madison and milwaukee means the rest of Wisconsin has good pizza? And Gary, Indiana?
  8. Just to be clear, I was talking about the whole region, not just the city of Chicago. I know the rest of IL, WI, MI, IN, and IA all have decent pizza, too. The majority of the country, though, is pretty remote. If you don't live within a reasonable distance of a metro area, your pizza options are going to be pretty weak. if you don't live within a reasonable distance of a metro area, you're not going to have a Papa Johns or Dominos google maps puts a dominos in st robert, mo, which is near devil's elbow and satan's taint and nowhere near anything
  9. put him on the bereavement list for the death of his career
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  11. i haven't really followed PFT (probably football season related) since he went to Barstool, but how has he changed since the move? he's just a big part of the barstool bro circle jerk I never heard of those guys, even though one is apparently a neighbor, until that most annoying people in sports thing. Anyway, pft went from being somewhat of a parody of that type of guy to one of those guys
  12. I'm 7 miles from Yankee Stadium. You get used to it.
  13. eligible to come off DL does not mean he came off DL. He's on a rehab stint in Iowa.
  14. did lenny change his name?
  15. Well, then that's on you. You can miss the forest for the trees (I.E, getting hung up on their ranking of the Top 25 teams in history), or you can look at elite Run Differentials and Playoff outcomes. bleacher report is more of a swamp than forest
  16. Stupid dumb jerk! Bay of pigs since he's making us all miss Castro
  17. does thom york have a problem with the Cubs defense?
  18. I thought that was SI's answer to falling circulation. Haven't they been doing regional covers for decade now?
  19. He's a real top shelf announcer. I would agree. He's about as good of a color guy as you'll find. A lot of people like these self promotional flashy guys that rely on modern analytical techniques but I find them too generic for my tastes. Stone has all the ingredients of a classic analyst and even though he's not native to the area he grew up on the game locally that allows him to speak intelligently on that Cubs.
  20. I love how Stone says stuff and is so sure of himself and he's way wrong. I tend to think pretty highly of Stone. He's a real top shelf announcer.
