    I didn't even consider putting on the hockey game until the post game talk was over.

    For me, it's usually a leftovers situation where there's not enough chili to go around so you throw in some noodles to supplement. Especially with skyline. You don't eat it by itself, that would be like eating spoonfuls of mustard. It's a topping or a dip. so why eat it?

    McDonough's about due for a job change. He played his part and did it well, but he's not going to be much use in the next phase of the game, which will be finding a way to stay good after being great for so long, and they probably need somebody other than a PR guy in charge to accomplish that long-term.

    that's not a real middle ground. The east coast isn't going to be able to adjust to 6:30 start times. People barely make it to 7:05 starts on time. The bottom line is you do not need to fear having more than one game on at the same time. Start the east coast games at a normal time and then central follows an hour later, like they do with everything else.

    Pat is right, and Milbury is as an idiot as usual. The NHL wants to grow the game, then don't have 8:42pm starts on weeknights in local areas. It happens in the NBA too. The Warriors-Rockets game was at 8:30 last night, even though Houston's in the central time zone. It just comes with being in the Western Conference -- I don't think it's that big of a deal. As much as I'd like to rag on the NHL for being stupid about something, I don't think they are in this case. Maybe the Hawks should petition to move to the East if they don't like the late start times? Houston is in the central, but Golden State is in the pacific. It makes more sense than a stl/chi game, two central teams, kicking off even later than that basketball game. Plus the NHL is in more need of growing itself.

    Jake Arrieta is like the 1 out of every 10,000 crossfit/glutenfree/paleo psychopaths who has a good reason to feel confident about what he's doing.

    I guess the Giants could go kind of safe and boring with Conklin, reach a little for the WR or grab one of the pass rushing LB hybrid types here that are probably going to have a high attrition rate.

    Lots of options there. You got Oklahoma! Could an American in Paris do well in standup? He's originally from Maine but he strikes me as a bit of a Jersey boy. He'd be wicked good just telling stories on the west side.

    that makes me lean toward college campus issues. Lots of bernie bros on lots of campuses about to be incredibly upset, coupled with Trump nonsense and college Republicans bound to come to blows.
