    That steelers helmet to helmet last night is perfect example. People ask, "what are you supposed to do" and the answer is the complete opposite of what that guy did. He brought his arms down and braced himself for purposeful helmet first contact, with a launch. That is just terrible technique but everybody does it because when you hit hard it looks cool.

    I mean, he could go to Milwaukee but they will also leave him off the playoff roster.

    Because the Cubs would pay him a lot of money and he would play a lot of baseball on a team that will win a lot of games. What kind of question is that? You act as though he was abused or something. If he can't get what he wants in free agency from another team, and so far he obviously hasn't, then why wouldn't he sign up for that?

    by not exercising his cheap team option and granting him a chance at free agency? By telling him he's not good enough to be on the playoff roster. Eh, plenty of veterans are left off playoff rosters. I have a hard time thinking that would really create a burnt bridge situation, especially when it was the right decision with very little in the way of controversy about it happening.

    I listen when something big happens, like a new coaching hire or GM transition, and given what I hear in those small doses I have no idea how anybody can make it a regular listen.

    Eh; going for a Pittsburgh sports teams-like synergy isn't a bad idea. in some other Podunk 3 team town, sure, but in a city/metro area with 8 big sports teams it's really weird.

    I thought you were making some joke that I didn't understand. Nope, they are really playing in a soccer stadium for 2 years. How could the NFL approve that? Pretty sure there is some sort of requirement to play in a stadium with a minimum capacity more than 30k the last priority the NFL has is butts in seats situations. they don't give a F about it in relation to what matters most. they got a sweetheart stadium situation, they get to flood the LA market, they open up the San Diego market for the next "we're moving" threat. and they get a big relocation fee from spanos. They don't care that the least paid attention to team in the league is going to play in a glorified high school stadium (or downsized high school stadium in some instances).

    I love the idea that this guy thought he had some interesting insight into why Hillary Clinton was also a terrible candidate. None of us has heard anything about that before.

    My favorite deep sleepers are my two daughters who spent the entire night in their beds last night allowing me to get my first decent night's sleep in several weeks. As for bottom of the barrel prospects I could not care less. The time for caring about the desperation rankings passed long ago.

    it's the old "pointing out how ignorant and hateful we are is what's really divisive" argument. They'd prefer if you just let them hate in peace and pretend it's not happening.
