  1. In honor of the rainy weather talk, I nominate today's food, grilled cheese. This is what I'm getting for lunch. http://www.starrett-lehigh.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Grilled-Cheese-In-Blog-Image.jpg
  2. the forecast for this game looks almost exactly like the yankees game last night. I had great tix but skipped the game since it's a bitch to get to/from and don't really care about the Yankees. We used the weather as an excuse but it was fine and went off without a delay. just a reminder, just because there is a near 100% chance of rain or even thunderstorms on the same day that a baseball game is set to be played, does not mean that said game will be cancelled.
  3. Do you remember when this happened? http://mlb.mlb.com/images/1/2/4/205402124/100716_sfgchc_baezHR_med_9vc0ih98.gif http://mlb.mlb.com/images/9/2/8/205388928/100716_chcsfg_billmurrayfistpump_med_odjd3bls.gif That was fun. Let's see it again.
  4. guys this could get ugly [tweet] [/tweet]
  5. In high school I misplayed a ball at third that hit my ankle, which blew up to the size of 16-inch softball. I got hit a few times at the plate but never really hurt. A handful of comebackers to the mound got me with a glancing blow but nothing serious. The one thing I witnessed that was disgusting was in little league I was at short and threw a guy out at first, but he runner somehow ran his face into the first baseman's head. The runner lost teeth and 1B got a huge gash on the head, there was blood everywhere.
  6. Is putting "vs." When it should be "@" the new market inefficiency? Home team goes second. @ is superfluous. nope vs. suggests first team is home team.
  7. it was saying "run home and watch this laugher on the big screen"
  8. Maybe other teams don't, I wouldn't know since I don't pay much attention to other teams, but the Saints used theirs for 5 TD's last year. FB in its true form is pretty much a non-existent position. There's usually like 2 guys every year considered draftable. Tebow would have been a TE if he played.
  9. Here's Brett Jackson the last time he played at Wrigley: I don't get it? carrie muskat thinks less of white ballplayers than sammy sofa does
  10. 45 minutes after the game ended is a long time after a game ends. If you're in a box, they don't push you out. right, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a long time after a game ends. Meaning you aren't getting jostled around by a crowd or anything and probably increasing the odds you're shitfaced.
  11. well, they are incredibly different motions. I could envision a world in which somebody thought he could have an average arm in baseball. but by and large, totally agree.

  14. (i guess)
  15. he only pitched once on the road trip and the odds of the cubs needing him for the next 3 days (and having his replacement blow it on the first day he can't pitch) are very slim You're not wrong, but if he's gonna be unavailable when we need him, I don't want him pitching when we don't... these are things that don't make sense. He was warmed up and ready to go, with a 3-run lead aka save situation, before the lead extended. When those guys get warm it's essentially "using" them anyway. So it wouldn't make sense to get another guy up and warm and hope you do t have to go back to him when the wind is already blowing out and there's been 10 homeruns. Using an already warm Davis even though the lead went from 3 to 4 makes sense.
  16. I read that as celebrity hooker and wondered what kind of weird websites your robot computer has access to. fleurdelis.com/whateveryoudesire
  17. lot of things looked cool ages ago and we found out how dumb and stupid they were with time
  18. It's flat-brimmed and he looks like a goober no on both counts i'm not even a fan of flat brimmed but get with the times old man and he looks like a bad ass so now he needs to pitch like one again nah the beard has tough guy equivalent cliche has died now he just looks like he's hiding something and not the location of his next pitch since he has no idea where it'll go
  19. or similar to the david haugh leadoff take?
  20. some of you sports radio listening weirdos might find this..., something? [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  21. and they signed the corn undrafted despite it getting a 6th round grade.
  22. who knows what will come of him, but one thing that sticks out to me is he's the last guy on his team to move on the snap of the ball most of those downs, and a little sloppy on first few steps. He'll probably need a ton of technique work if he's going to last.
