  1. Pretty cheesy video, but he better really have been number 1 on all those guys boards to do that trade. consensus building
  2. tough to do when they all lie to each other, then suddenly nobody can do business with each other and the league shuts down.
  3. My biggest concern at this point is there's no way the Bears have the coaching staff to develop a QB, so Pace either has to have a plan where he replaces everybody after 2017, or, more likely, they just have to rely on the guy to do it himself. They totally got worked and I think the "you have to get the guy" mentality is the reason why so many teams stay bad for a long time. The vast majority of good QBs only win when their team is filled with excellent players and you only get a lot of excellent players by using all your picks wisely.
  4. that's because pace told fox to tank
  5. nah, that was your mom. but it was dark. that is dark, she is dead.
  6. but your mom said i had the quickest release
  7. You thought people would be interested in hearing Gruden talk?
  8. That just doesn't make any sense to me. Guys starting for 2+ years is how you get a lot of tape and a lot of confidence in your judgement of that tape. I'm not knocking him for only 13 games, I'm doubting highly how this front office could be that in love to make that trade for him with such limited data. I don't know how much more anyone needs. They can see him get through his progressions better than anyone else, and they can see that his release is just about as quick as any QB that's been drafted in the last 10 years, they can see how accurate he is with his throws, they can see that he can scramble and avoid the pass rush. it's enough tape. the cool thing is in 2019 when he's got 13 NFL games on tape people will say it's way too early to make a judgement so we'll get to hear just how pumped up to see him take the next step.
  9. 13 starts isn't a trait. 13 starts means there isn't enough data to draw a confident conclusion about his actual traits. The way people have generally used it, its a trait. 10. At least you were honest about the horrible music. That highlight reel is not all that impressive to me. The first throw was real nice, but then you've got a couple high school caliber throws and a whole bunch of guys were open by 7+ yards passes for his biggest highlights. Damn that guy didn't seem to face many teams that could cover receivers. Maybe this guy turns out to be great, but the problem is they wasted this free agency season spending on a QB plus all the picks when this team needed lots of help elsewhere so now all we can do is sit around for 3 years and hope it works.

  12. Forget how poorly he played in the game, he actually threw 4 touchdowns on one series that were called back by penalty is one of the dumbest analyses I've ever heard about a quarterback.
  13. Any kid who gets a free hr ball is literally receiving a non-participation trophy. Screw 'em
  14. I'm guessing Another Period.
  15. It's okay to like both the awesome big league team and have an interest in all the mostly hopeless weirdness that following the minor league system entails. It's also easy to avoid if you have no interest in the latter. I'm all for maintaining interest in the prospects, just expressing my joy that debates about Kenny Chesney's little cousin aren't the most important thing around here anymore.
  16. I love that we don't have to talk about nobodies in the minor leagues anymore since the big league team is so good..., oh wait. Nevermind.
  17. jacksonville has been the one on watson for a bit now, by multiple media guys

  20. MLB Network doesn't have nearly the same reach as ESPN does, so it makes sense for them to want to be seen by more people and get paid in the process. ESPN can pay MLBN to produce what they already make instead of paying their people to make it. And it's not like their talent can balk at it since ESPN just flooded the market with talent and drove down the costs for everybody in the biz. It's also not much different than the simulcasting of already established radio shows.
  21. I think you're thinking of Cowherd or Skip Bayless with that with their new shows when they left ESPN. But yeah they are all garbage and any network that pays them millions for their nonsense TV deserves to fail. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quite_Frankly_with_Stephen_A._Smith
