    Yes, and Dexter Fowler was a 4+ WAR player that season, and is gone. You can't just say they won a lot without him to claim he is easily replaced.

    I am 100% on board with late season NFL games on Saturdays. They should only play on Thursdays on opening week, and after both teams are coming off a bye. Go something like Week 1: Thursday opener with marquee teams Week 2-5: No Thursday games Week 5-12: Thursday night matchups featuring teams coming off byes only, culminating in the three Thanksgiving games Week 12-17: No more Thursday night game, but start playing Saturdays week 14/15/16

    I really wonder if they're going to overload the rotation and play games with the 10 day DL this year since the Dodgers got away with it last year. But that would mean they'd have to have at least one guy who could be optioned. They'd have to acquire about 4 more guys to do that.

    Morrow will be used much like Davis was, as a traditional 1 inning closer that will only get up once and get multi game rest with regularity. I likey.

    Yeah, if he wasn’t going to be a Cub, this is the next best outcome. Doesn’t make me any happier, though. seattle was best outcome, ocean county has no redeeming qualities

    And health. I have my doubts that Chatwood makes it through this contract relatively unscathed. As old as he is though, Lackey is bound to start losing teeth, and without all of 'em, he's nothing.

    But the Dodgers do it with 10 guys at a time and spend $250 on payroll. The Cubs don't have a 10 man rotation and don't look to be building one either. They actually need their starting pitching to start lots of games and pitch lots of inning.
