  1. you're incredibly wrong andy. People were citing paterno/sandusky apologists while blindly defending the guy simply because the knee jerk reaction of nearly all football media is to praise each and every veteran coach that has ever existed. There is no evidence that Schiano is a good guy, and yet people were blindly supporting him not even knowing about his ties to the Penn State child rape scandal. Others have also pointed out some other shitty stuff that Schiano has done outside the covering up of child rape. At the end of the day, Greg Schiano is a blah coach with some ugly stuff on his resume and does not deserve the blind devotion some morons chose to give him.
  2. If Tennessee is going to allow an AD to hire a head coach without knowing where that head coach has previously coached, well good luck finding anybody good for that job.
  3. As much blame as Fox gets (he deserves it), it extends well beyond him. Pace deserves blame as does the ownership. This is why I didn't like all the praise Pace got for being bold and trading up to draft Trubisky. Aside from all the questions about him as a franchise QB, that was an extremely safe and conservative move for a GM to make. He's already 3 years in and we can still talk about the jury being out for at least another season, and he will almost certainly get an opportunity to fire Fox and hire another guy, and then 2-3 years to see if that next hire can get the most out of Mitch. Waiting 3 drafts to make that pick, and then deliberately sitting that pick behind a worthless veteran and giving him zero skill position players and an ultra conservative coach pretty much guaranteed we'd see next to nothing this season.
  4. 3 years in and this team looks like it is as bad as the worst Emery teams. For all the talk of staying in games and having a chance to win, they've been blown out 3 times and lost by 7+ in 2 other games. I didn't expect them to be good this year, but this team is disturbingly weak. What a shitshow.

  6. Come to think of it, rose is from Chicago, where the two biggest stars of his childhood were Ryne Sandberg and MJ, both who walked away from their game early.
  7. Michael Jordan was not a mentally healthy man. Isn't the joke that he did walk away?
  8. He was soft after his first injury though. Doctors cleared him to play weeks before the playoffs, yet Rose refused to play. Doctors employed by jerry reinsdorf considering all he went through after the first time, maybe he was right to doubt his health
  9. He's in the lake
  10. The draft screws over players. In the US, this results in some guys choosing to take a college scholarship instead of turning pro. In latin american this will do nothing but screw more players. It's clear they need to do away with cost suppressing rules and allow teams to sign prospects when they want.
  11. That's good, but I feel like any TE that catches a TD this year is going to automatically get best TE of the week accolades.

  14. Braves situation allows MLB to fight against spending on international free agents. Cardinals situation provided them nothing but the ability to scold.
