    Nope. Mitch needs one offensive system to work under. Go with that guy as hc and you'll never lose him to a higher job.

    I don't have the slightest problem with this. You can't have a collaborative effort without these guys involved, and Pace gets to make the decision. The contract extension guarantees he's in charge of football opps. Yeah I don’t have a problem with the methodology, I just have a problem with the other 2 guys giving input Ryan Pace reportedly made the trubisky deal with almost nobody else knowing. But he received input from everyone. I do not get why this is a problem. This team will win or lose based on what Pace does. At this point it is out of George and Teds hands until or unless they make another big organizational change.

    Explain If they don't do anything with Fangio today, I will take that as a sign they intend to promote him to HC. Not saying it would be a definitive sign they intend to go offensive minded HC if Fangio is let go, but I think them not getting rid of Fangio out of the gate makes it much more likely they keep him. There isn't really anything to do with him, his contract is up and the next bears coach will either attempt to keep him or not. There isn't anything to announce with him, regardless.

    I’d guess not a ton. Pace basically staked his job on Mitch being the Bears QB for awhile. If they hire a coach who gives up on Mitch all the sudden his rope is very thin. I don't mean right away, but after 2018 if he isn't much better, a coach is going to want the option to start somebody else. And if you don't offer that kind of thing, you aren't getting the best coaching candidate available.

    I wonder what kind of assurances the next head coach will want to be able to pick another qb over mitch some day. It's gotta be a tough sell to say, "this is your guy you win with him or we move on." We've seen enough to have hope in his future but not every football guy is going to have the same opinion on him that pace had on draft day.

    I don't get what the issue is. Teams manipulate IR all the time as the season ends. The NFL had to approve Rodgers being sent to IR the second time anyway, and obviously they did. I think you get what the issue is but are pretending it's not one because it's easier that way.
