  1. I think from 30,000 feet it’s nice that they have safety and center likely taken care of for a bit. Kmet’s replacement is here a year early and the corner depth is fine. But the route they took to get there while ignoring more important positions (again) leaves a lot to be desired the two special team reaches at wr/lb are way too much like guys who’ve been brought in for similar purposes in recent years. How many non pass rushing LBs can you possibly acquire when LBs barely affect the game? the Afrikaners DT is a fun story but ultimately probably not much different from the Dominique Robinson “raw athlete” story.
  2. He’s made it pretty clear he just doesn’t value pass rush as much as coverage. Words and action support that idea. Maybe the former is a cover for the latter but he doesn’t see value at the pass rush positions. he’ll draft for special teams guys before D end.
  3. Van Der Slootberg and Bagent’s dads should partner up in a heated rivalry style show about football dads with niche strength related accomplishments that do not translate into practical use
  4. They got a d tackle refugee from the only country we accept immigrants from now
  5. Did they just trade into the 6th?
  6. Motivated Dayo is definitely the theme of the offseason It’s so weird to me how much poles is willing to double and triple down on certain positions to “create competition” (LB, a couple years ago, WR, TE more recently) but nothing on the DLine. Such a bizarre roster building strategy.
  7. Dayo wasn’t good before he became a bear not sure how he’ll get good now.
  8. My anger at Poles’s draft strategy lasts longer than a viagra overdose
  9. Which QB do they take in 7th to create competition?
  10. The defensive line is awful and all these RAS athletes didn’t accomplish jack horsefeathers until Caleb started pulling rabbits out of hats in the second half of last year. im sure Roush will be put to use by Ben and Caleb but the draft is about making the team better and the team needs defensive linemen desperately.
  11. Let us rejoice in the knowledge that Kyle has been satiated
  12. Burden was a first round grade that dropped to the bears pick. This is the complete opposite scenario.
  13. Okay? This means? These picks need to be making much greater impacts than this
  14. It may be, but I do not view that as a positive. Good coaches ≠ good personnel men also, dayo has always sucked and no sane person thinks he’s good
  15. I can’t believe another offseason went by with no real upgrade on a bad defensive line. GB, MIN and DET must be ecstatic.
  16. Feels like more of a Poles things than Allen. Poles has focused on DBs and LBs and doesn’t give a horsefeathers about the Dline. He also inherited a decent D that has gotten worse each year he’s been in charge.
  17. The “we’re okay if the qb holds it longer” quote will go down on his tombstone if Caleb doesn’t save him
  18. I don’t know but after the contract restructuring I doubt it. poles is so bad at prioritizing. He desperately needs Williams and Johnson to bail his ass out
  19. Patriots trade a ****** center to bears then draft guy they should have wanted
  20. Maybe it was something I read on Brett’s site or the athletic. But early on somebody was talking about warming to taking this guy in the first but then as time went by they were saying he may not be available at 25. I think a lot of amateur mocks had him going earlier but as a safety, the likelihood was always going to be he may drop more than rise. He probably went right where he should have. Again, he’s a safety. Most nfl front offices don’t prioritize the position when the interior and exterior of the D line is more important/impactful.
