I assumed the question spoke for itself. In other words, will he be president for the entire term or will something, anything, prevent that from happening. It can be morbid, but it's not absurd. World leaders not lasting their entire term can happen. And more than one US president has failed to fill out his term. I agree its not absurd. But why isn't there a poll asking if John McCain would make it all 4 years? He's not black (and I'm assuming this was the impetus for the discussion) , but he's pretty damn old. I don't think you really needed to ask the question. A first-time black president is unique. An old guy is not. Plus, if Barack gets the nomination, he's also most likely to win. Obama has some Kennedy/MLK qualities to him, and we all know those histories. It's a legit issue.
