Wait, this can't be true. If he warms up in the pen, his knee won't hurt if he actually gets into the game? Ok, after Shark gets the last guy out, have some rookie grab a bat and stand at the plate while Gregg gets him out. I can't believe throwing any amount of pitches from the mound rather than the bullpen mound has any effect on his knee, let alone as few as 5. The problem is once he's warm, he can't sit and then warm back up again later. They figure once he's warm, he's "used". But instead of just saying, oh well we don't need him, they actually do use him. Which is kind of stupid. That said, I would think it would be funny to watch them take the field after the game to get his 5 throws in to fix his knee everytime he warms up but doesn't pitch. It would be like high school when your coach made your team take infield practice right after a sloppy loss, but the opposite.
