  1. How are they going to get under the cap? I know they’ve been excellent at maneuvering contracts to make it under the cap but at some point they have to pay the Piper. Figured it would be this season. The NFC South may be wide open but do they have a super bowl contending roster? They don’t have a qualified big 10 qb, let alone NFL.
  2. I’ve been dying to know the answer
  3. Maybe, maybe not. But only 2Mil savings if they cut him. That's not a difference making amount. Might as well see if he is healthy this summer. If not, cut him then, no harm, no foul. But he's only 27 and was a dynamic player as recently as Sept 2020. I thought I read they would save $5 mil if they cut him in June? I'd agree, $2 mil savings is probably worth taking a flyer on him. Cash savings vs salary cap savings?
  4. I actually don't think he will. I think the new staff wants all the weapons it can get, and I think they keep him as a true gadget player, especially if they can't re-sign Jakeem Grant. I don't know. An ACL injury forcing him to miss nearly 2 full seasons, when a lot of people were thinking he'd be back at some point in early 2021 has to make them question his commitment. He's an easy cut, and not like he was that much of a threat before the ACL. Yeah, they may be desperate for talent enough to keep him. But that's a big price tag for an unproven entity and a chance to put their own stamp on the roster.
  5. Don't remember but, wasn't Moon more of a pocket passer? Cunningham, on the hand, was certainly mobile and had a big arm. I took "athletic" to mean more just a scrambler, and Moon was one of the all time best QB's, period I believe the comment was more about how people assumed Byron Leftwich was a mobile QB, because of reasons, when he really wasn't much of one.
  6. He's being traded for Allen Robinson
  7. It looks like they acted swiftly and correctly, but didn’t publicize that fact until now. Presumably, this leaked story is part of the teams attempt to recover from the Rocky debacle.
  8. Well with everyone else chasing one type just means prob most will be back in the carousel in a few years. Good chance the Bears will too obviously, but hopefully the first choice of a D guy is better than the 6th best O guy. (positive thinking) plus, Eberflus will likely be the D guy, and rightfully so. He might be all they need. A staff full of O guys is beneficial if they start to get poached due to success. Lets hope for that what do you mean by this? Eberflus has already stated he will not call defensive plays, they hired a DC and several other experienced defensive position coaches.
  9. He essentially has handed over the company to his son. Why he was even there is perplexing. They had to know the topic would come up and they had to know how Rocky felt about it. The kid is the CEO of the company, just let him handle it.
  10. Historically that’s the Raiders’ job
  11. I don't think it is that weird. Passing game coordinator is one of those title inflation things, given to guys you want to squeeze in while showing a promotion. This dude is a lonnggg standing WR coach, starting in 2003 with the Cardinals and spending 4-6 years at multiple spots with a one year stint at Carolina mixed in during John Fox's final year there. I think it's kind of interesting they have 50-somethings at HC and DC, and a 30-something at OC. They were obviously looking young at QB coach to go along with that OC, but this WR coach is another 50-something assistant to help with the kid, along with a fairly experienced OL coach. There were questions about whether Eberflus would bring in a former HC to his staff, but it looks like they are running out of space to fit one, depending on what happens at DLine, and I guess special teams.
  12. The hockey starts tomorrow
  13. He also lost 4 games at Michigan at least like 5-6 times, with players he got to handpick himself on the recruiting trail. His offenses were also all in the 20s in the NFL (and typically around 60s in NCAA). LOL why do people keep saying stuff like this? Excluding the weird COVID season he lost 4+ games at Michigan twice in 6 seasons. One Big Ten loss is like 2.5 in a real football conference.
  14. harbaugh is not worth all this wtf lol he's fine. in 4 of his HC years at SF, he went to the NFC Championship 3 times and the SB 1. I think blowing off the Vikings hiring Harbaugh is a mistake. I dont think he alone will turn the Vikings into a juggernaut, but his hiring will likely be a good thing rather then bad for the Vikings. On the flip side, Eberflus is a total unknown at this point I think Harbaugh is a safe hire. He's a better version of John Fox, in that he can come in and make an unprofessional mess look respectable. He can help a very good team stay in the fight. He can inspire and probably get the most out of you. But he's not Belichik. He's not his brother. He's not going to be in his next gig for 10 years. He'll probably be a net positive for 5 years but will wear out his welcome and won't be the guy to make your QB a superstar.
  15. It jumped the derwood, but that's different.
  16. ugh. that's horrible. We have a hell of a long way to go, but at least that horsefeathers would completely destroy someone today. Have you been awake the past couple years?
  17. Which guy was that again? vikings qb coach
  18. Why on gods green earth is this in the playoffs thread?
  19. I thought the reports were Flores wanted Watson. I thought that as well Although those may have been planted by Ross
