For what purpose? It's not like they always had every team play at the same time. Opening day has fluctuated for years. There is MLB's opening day, but also opening day for every individual team, including home openers for teams that open on the road. I see nothing wrong with this sort of marketing concept where teams play in foreign locales. And if they do play outside the country there is little choice but to have it at odd hours and prior to other teams games since they have to travel so far. Personally if they ever do get around to promoting the game more in Europe, I'd love to attend a Cubs opener in Italy or somewhere similar. I enjoyed getting up early to watch the Cubs in Japan a decade ago. Opening day evolves and it's not like this sort of thing happens every year.
