  1. *Meatball fans* CAUSE HE BROUGHT DAT GREEK ORTHODOX PRIEST TO BLESS THE DUGOUT BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS STARTED...RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE I don't think that's meatballish. I would have fired his ass for that just for thinking up the idea. That's a dumb reason to fire somebody. You'd make a horrible boss.
  2. and you didnt post a link? now THATS surprising. sorry?
  3. http://deadspin.com/5935390/the-mariners-double+a-team-including-felix-hernandezs-brother-went-nutso-when-felix-finished-his-perfect-game Seattle's AA affiliate in Jackson watched the ending on the field.
  4. He'd want out of Wrigley ASAP.
  5. Couldn't agree more. of course
  6. I can't believe you still have notebooks
  7. I was going to put this in the thread about Fleita leaving. I really have no reason to be supportive of Crane Kenney, but the absurdity with all these media people insisting that he is the face of all that is wrong with this team boggles the mind.
  8. I went to my first baseball game at Yankee Stadium last night. Awful stadium.
  9. I can literally imagine thousands of them.
  10. Some moron on deadspin tried to write an article where he claimed steroids didn't help Melky at all, it was just him being in better physical condition that made him better.
  11. Contemplating whether a 26 year old middle infielder will be with the team in 10 years is freaking stupid. If Law was considering long-term to be 8-10 years he's a moron.
  12. the denial I saw sounded more like, "mlb hasn't told me I failed a test", as opposed to I've never done it.
  13. i don't know about that. wilken wants to be the director of amateur scouting somewhere, he wants to run a draft. to a guy like that, the only true promotion is to GM or that fake president tag Theo holds. he may have gotten a nice little raise, theo, jed, and jason may respect him a great deal, enough to give him that raise and keep him around. but he simply wasn't respected enough to be retained in the position that he was in. That's some backward-ass logic right there, Sulley. The fact that they promoted him out of his old position means they didn't respect him? Reeeeeeediculous It's not that crazy of a thought. You "promote" a guy to special assistant to get him out of the day to day aspect of the job because you want somebody else running the day to day and you just want his advice going forward.
  14. Jackson didn't like that strike call, and seeing it live on TV it looked a good bit outside.
  15. I like the multiple extra base hits.
  16. Well he didn't try to minimize it. I guess I'll applaud the honesty.
  17. I have no idea, but it seems like something that doesn't need to be filled soon. The guys doing the work are all still doing the work. So they can probably wait until the end of the season when everybody starts coming out of contract.
  18. Well it looks like Starlin Farnsworth must have stayed in last night.
  19. I'm sorry if you feel insulted, but your line of thinking on this topic is very weird. It's like a Fox News viewer pissed at the NY Times for reporting on a story that would reflect poorly on a republican. It's not the reporter's job to do what you expect him to do.
  20. You are weird. Why do you care about Paul Sullivan's future employment prospects and networking capability? You whined about him throwing the team under the bus, but he can risk his contacts all he wants. It's up to him how he treats a story and the potential ramifications. You are blaming him for a story getting out when the person who had the ability to keep the story getting out, and the motivation to keep the story from getting out, and responsibility to keep the story from getting out was Theo. He didn't have to say what he said. Don't get mad at a reporter for reporting.
  21. I'd like to imagine the painfully slow starts by Jackson and Vitters are what got Fleita fired.
