    We already did that by depending on a injury prone pitchers like rich harden, Carlos Zambrano and Ted Lilly and trading for Kevin Gregg and Aaron Heilman. Meanwhile the Cards traded for the greatest SS ever.

    No such thing. Unless you want your backup catcher to be a Matt LeCroy or Michael Barrett type defensive catcher. Catchers that can hit a little and be good fielders are starters. Hence that's why guys like Brian Schneider make 5-6 mill a year.

    what makes you say that? Is it because he was a top prospect back in 2003? All Chris Burke has shown is he can constantly put up mediocre BA's for a guy who doesn't hit for power. I'm no fan of miles by any stretch of the imagination but Chris Burke is a white Freddie Bynum.
