    RedIvyCub is a reliable poster. This guy/girl could be Gary Hughes or he/she could be some unemployed carpenter. I couldn't care less and I'm not inclined to believe some random poster on a fan message board. The behavior of MLB officals is very clear, as they've repeatedly stated that they want a baseball team in South Florida and they've done nothing to disuade Loria from making a mockery of the Marlins the same way he made a mockery of the Expos. I don't care what the person's "sources" say. No skin off my nose, cubinNY. You can choose to believe me or not. Doesn't matter to me. But I know as a fact that Loria is loathed and they gave him the Marlins hoping the whole thing would sink without a stadium deal and to help John Henry get out from under the Marlins. Raisin's word is good enough for me. So how much DO you know (and actually say)? Like for instance, could you tell us anything new related to issues such as Cubs taking on salary this season or the sale?

    I think this also heavily depends on what else Hendry does with the offense. If he gets an impact bat, this is probably just him trying to do something with the catcher and not lose much money. If he does nothing its just him being dumb.

    PASS! Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he have mental issues? EDIT: According to wikipedia he has some issues with social anxiety disorder. Seems like too much of a long term reclamation project to be worth trading for when we're in it to win.

    This very well could be Hendry trying to do SOMETHING at the catcher position without spending any real money so he can throw all he has at some other position where there are far better players available (OF?). Thats just my thoughts on it though.
