Chico is not that bad of a pitcher. really? you want him on the cubs then? No. He's pitching better than Rich right now, though. I would take him if we could get a 2 player deal - bring over both Chico and the Man I've been waiting for that joke since last night. Thank you. If this little breather lasts through the break, then definitely. Lou seems to think the bench time helped Riot - said his bat looked slow so he gave him a few days off. He is probably thinking the same thing will work with Pie. The difference of course is Theriot doesn't really have much of a future, he's either going to stick as a utility guy or not. There's no need to try and get him over slumps by playing. Plus, he never sat 4 days in a row. He had a week where played every other day. Pie is pretty much the 25th man. jones is closer to 25th man status than pie right now. guarantee pie comes in to pinch hit/run before jones. That said, he needs to be starting again.

Marshall does not deserve it over Z. Marshall is better skill wise and stat wise hah, you must be out of your mind...do you really think marshall has better skills than Z? Marshall is way more consistent and and has way more control, something z seemingly can't buy Marshall has been in the majors for about a year-4/5 of a season last year, and 1/5 of a season this year. Only the 1/5 of the season this year has been good-I'm not sure how you can call him consistent yet. Z is the only pitcher in the major leagues to be in the top 15 of ERA every year for the last 4-how much more consistent can you get than that? With the way he's pitching lately, he could make it 5 in a row. i didn't say marshall was consistent i said he's more consistent than z And like I said, Z has been one of the most consistent pitchers in the major leagues the last 4 years. He gives you almost the same production every single year. except this one i suppose Well yea, if you looked at, I dunno, the stats you might find that.

Because otherwise thats complete crap. Zambran couldn't hit the side of a red barn and his stats prove it, he led the league in walks You're my new favorite poster.

Petrick was sent down and Rocky Cherry was called up on Saturday. Cherry got hurt and Petrick got recalled back up. If its any consolation, I missed that too.

Why don't we just focus on the Cubs winning? If they do that everything else will take care of itself at this point. Worry about scoreboard watching this intensively if we are down a couple games come September. There's too much baseball left for this. You're probably right. I still like to scoreboard watch, though. It doesn't mean that you have to. I'm a big fan of scoreboard watching. Makes the second half of the season way more fun.
