  1. This happens to CFers when a ball has spin and slice on it. Sweet. He's definatley a Cub now. He did what Edmonds does. Bourn probably catches that standing under it. Bad angle+no speed=omg what defense!!!111! And lol @ Bob even thinking that was anywhere close to as good as the Johnson catch. What a joke. What's up your butt? It would have been a difficult play for any CFer. I don't like Edmonds at all, but not to call it a great catch is slow-minded. You know if Jim Edmonds signed with the Reds and made that catch, you would be saying the same things. No I wouldn't. It would have been "he made that play look a lot harder than it should have been." The same as it was when Ken Griffey Jr. made a "great catch" in CF his last few years playing there. Honestly, any other CFer in the Central makes that one with ease. Bourn? Cameron? McLouth? Patterson? Ankiel? It's a pretty reutine play. Beiing old, slow, playing out of position, and just being a baseball player who should retire in general doesn't make that a great play. He did a really good job of making the play AFTER he messed it up to begin with. Nice job.

  3. What a typical Edmonds catch. He took an awful angle to it an made it look harder than it should be. If he takes the right angle he doesn't have to catch it over the shoulder.
  4. Yes but would you let your wife have sex with Soriano? If that's what Soriano wanted, he'd have my blessing. :rotfl: Awesome.

  6. I want to know why Griffey owed Fogg $1500.

  8. Dunn for Pie, Cedeno, and a lower level pitching prospect. or Dunn for Pie and Rich Hill.
  9. Larry Beinfest isn't the Marlins GM anymore, that would be Michael Hill.

  11. No I wouldn't. I know Dunn is phenominal masher, but he's a DH playing the field, much like Carlos Lee. I still value defense over offense, over the course of a season. Plus when you take into account the fact that either Soriano or Dunn would be moved to RF, with Fuku moved to CF, I don't Dunn's offense, makes up for as bad that OF defense would be. Give me Milton Bradley. so for a left-fielder their defense is more valuable than their offense? huh? That didn't make much sense either. Dunn has improved on his defense greatly the last two years as well. Granted, he has an arm that Juan Pierre would be proud of.
  12. Griffey isn't really that good anymore. Hopefully his name (and Seattle) drive up the asking price. Griffey will command more than that, IMO. I don't doubt the Reds will ask for much more. I wouldn't be willing to pay any more, however. Yeah, don't blame you for that.

  14. Gee this is breaking news.... What are the Cubs going to give up? Lets start with Felix Pie. That would be a NO to either player. But Junior and Dunn has "American League DH" written all over them. No thanks. Felix Pie for Jay Bruce???? Uh, what? You won't include Pie in a deal for Dunn? Junior and Dunn both have "free agent after the season" written all over them. Both are most likely going to be rent-a-players.
  15. Hey the other Jim (Bowden that is), offered that deal to Krivsky 8 times. I'm not kidding, and yes I know your post was sarcasm.
  16. I'll ask the same thing I did in the Dunn thread, what would you want to give up to get Griffey? Griffey, I would think, comes cheaper than Dunner does.

  18. When did Hawk take over Bako's body?
  19. I wonder how many times Harang and Z have matched up against each other. Harang is 1-4 with an ERA under 3, so he has some W's coming to him. Paul freaking Bako has a .920 OPS.
  20. About what, changes in the lineup? He said about 10 times over that Dusty was the only person who didn't know that Patterson was sucking at the plate. He then went on about some other problems with Dusty. I was only listening while I was in the car. Reds44 didn't know. False.
  21. About what, changes in the lineup? Griffey batting 2nd is comical.
