  2. http://tealandblack.net/forums/ They have two active sites.
  3. Wow, I was there and saw it but didn't expect to see that news. It was on Lilly's little half swing it went back surprisingly fast and you just saw the entire section looking for help. Then seconds later you see that dad running down the stairs holding the back of the kids head and people running after them. People need to pay attention at the game. He'll be in my prayers.
  4. He freaking destroyed that ball.
  5. Nah, they like to save it for us. But we got 2 from them this time. Eat it Cincy, you still suck. 1 of 3 at Wrigley is better than a lot of teams have done.
  6. The only pitchers he had left was Harang, Volquez, and Cueto. I don't blame him for using Harang, but the problem I have with it is pitching him 3 days later. Should have called somebody up and skipped his start. I thought he didn't even need to call somebody up, I thought they had an offday sprinkled in there(and maybe a recent callup), where he could've just moved everybody up and kept everyone on normal rest. That's all from the top of my head though. They had an off day the day after the game, but we used ever single player on the roster in that game except for Cueto. Arroyo didn't pitch, he pinch ran for Griffey. The day after the DFA'd Hatteberg and called Bruce up while Corey Patterson was still on the roster. They could have just has easily called up a pitcher and DFA'd Patterson as well, pushing everybody back. He could have given Fogg a spot start (he pitched 2/3rds of an inning), or you could have sent Matt Belisle to AAA (had a 7.28 ERA at the time and was eventually set down) and called up somebody to plug in. Dusty did none of it. Cueto started on normal rest, then he threw Arroyo on 3 days rest, Harang on 3 days rest, and Volquez went on normal rest finally putting the rotation back in order. So instead of calling somebody up and having Arroyo and Harang go on normal rest (ideally Harang would have been going on more than normal rest) he decided to keep everything as is and pitch Harang on 3 days rest.

  8. Ru roh. Still high on Dusty, my man? I have never been high on Dusty.
  9. Man, IF he Harden stays healthy this has the chance to be a huge steal for the Cubs. Gaudin isn't bad himself. I really like the watermelon tosser, and while Murton and EPatt both have some good skills, I just expected Beane to want more than this. Good deal for the Cubs.
  10. When was the last time the Cubs swept the Reds? I bet it has been awhile. Reds lineup: Hairston SS Bruce CF Griffey RF Phillips 2B Dunn LF Keppinger 3B Votto 1B Bako C Harang P May 28-30th, 2001....we beat them 6 times in an 8 game span (6-0) The July 2004 thing was a 2 game series. So yeah, it's be a long time. This Cubs team is really good, but there have been a lot worse Reds teams (umm, last years) that managed not to be swept by the Cubs.
  11. When was the last time the Cubs swept the Reds? I bet it has been awhile. Reds lineup: Hairston SS Bruce CF Griffey RF Phillips 2B Dunn LF Keppinger 3B Votto 1B Bako C Harang P If Hairston and Bako go off on the Cubs again tonight, I'm going to scream. Hairston: .344/.388/.479/.867 with 15 steals in 169 ABs this year. Good Lord I hope we trade him before he either A. remembers he is Jerry Hairston Jr. or B. gets busted for HGH.
  12. When was the last time the Cubs swept the Reds? I bet it has been awhile. July 2004. So, really, the last time they had a good team. 3-3 for each side this year. I'll be pretty surprised if the Cubs sweep the series. Somebody will take 2 of 3 with a close game deciding who takes the series. Although Harang and his 3-10 record and sore bicep doesn't give me a lot of hope for tonight.

  14. Last night: Reds vs LHP Pat Maholm Dusty pregame: "This guy is tough on lefties (Paul Maholm) and Dunn has hit him pretty good and Griffey hasn't. Just trying to find a way to get some righthanders in the lineup and Griffey will be back in there tomorrow. Dunn in the lineup last night: 3 for 25 lifetime, 10 k's Griffey not in the lineup last night: 5 for 18 lifetime, HR Tonight: Reds vs LHP Zach Duke Dusty: "The guy Tuesday (Zach Duke) has been tough on Dunn," Baker added. "Like I said, I'll be mixing and matching to have the best lineup in there for that day." Dunn 5 for 9 llifetime Griffey 1 for 6 lifetime
  15. Vance, how does the wife feel about this?
  16. Go work out, clean up the dog crap on the floor when you get home.
  17. Corey can't hit, Eric can't field. Put the brothers together and you have a helluva player.
  18. This is like little league. Keep hitting it to LF.
  19. I expected better from you. April Ronny Cedeno turned into the real Ronny Cedeno. A hot month one change the fact he can't hit big league pitching.
