  1. The guy posting pictures of meaningless KU trophies is an even worse poster than I am.
  2. Can't believe that's all they could get for Lopez.
  3. Deng got his deal after the 08 season. The 18/8 season was when we made it to the conference semis in 2007. And he averaged 17/6 that year. So he was coming off years of 18/8 and 17/6.
  4. You have to stop bringing up Deng. His contract is awful, but when he got it he was an 18/8 player who looked like he could only get better. You can't compare Gordon's offer to what Deng got, because neither deserved it.
  5. Oh, I did say Kevin Gregg sucks, but I think most people here would agree with that.
  6. I made up a website? Uh, wut? Really not sure who is "talking [expletive]" either. Not sure where I've said anything bad about the Cubs other than you guys have some dudes who get hurt a lot. Yes, I'm stupid.
  7. A. Have I ever claimed the Reds offense's is better than the Cubs, when everybody is healthy? No, of course not. The offense is the weakness on the Reds. B. the Reds pitching staff 1-12 is better than the Cubs' C. Taveras isn't the Reds starting CF anymore, that'd be Chris Dickerson. D. Laynce Nix is the Reds starting LF for long. C. Jay Bruce is 22 years old and currently has an EXTREMELY unlucky babip. His numbers are going to drastically improve. D. Kevin Gregg. He sucks.
  8. LYeah, because Encarnacion was hitting with a broken wrist and couldn't catch up to a fastball. That'll hurt your hitting. Coming into this year Encarnacion's career OPS was .803. So far Rosales is OPSing .655. You can't honestly think Rosales is better. Bradley and Harden are injury prone, and everybody knew that when you acquired them. They'll get hurt again.
  9. LOL. Out best player is out for a few months. Our third and fourth best position players have been banged up all year (Bradley and Lee). Soto and Soriano have also had injuries to put them out for stretchs at a time. Bradley, Soriano, Fontenot, and Soto are all sure bets to significantly improve by the end of the season. Lee has only started to play like he can be expected to. Our top two starting pitchers have both been put on the DL. Our main set-up guy and our closer are both sure to get better. But yea, you're right. The Reds are better than the Cubs because they are a game ahead in the standings in early June (and tied in the loss column) And like I said, the Reds best player is currently on the DL, as is their fourth best player, and their best pitcher. And Jay Bruce is in a massive slump and is hitting .210. I can play that game too. And Kevin Gregg sucks, he's not going to get better. Marmol will.
  10. Yeah because the Reds 1st baseman and best player isn't on the DL, or their 3rd baseman, or their all-start SP last season. If Brandon Phillips said anything other than "we're better than the Cubs" I would have been dissapointed. I really wouldn't take what he said to heart though. He said pretty much the same thing after the Brewers series last week.
  11. I just want to know what was so funny about Phillips' quote, that's all.
  12. hahahahaha Reds: 29-26 Cubs: 27-26 Believe that puts the Reds a game "better" than the Cubs, no? I see the same number of losses and that's all. Also a good point. You are better than the Cubs because Mother Nature decided to give the Cubs 2 less games at this point in the season. So would you have been ok with a quote that said, "we're just as good as the Cubs?" More to your liking?
  13. Yeah, I'm a big time troll because I made a comment about what somebody said in a game thread. Mmmhmm. I really want somebody to play the injury card. Please, do it.
  14. hahahahaha Reds: 29-26 Cubs: 27-26 Believe that puts the Reds a game "better" than the Cubs, no? They play 162 games buddy. Oh they do? Sorry didn't know that.
  15. hahahahaha Reds: 29-26 Cubs: 27-26 Believe that puts the Reds a game "better" than the Cubs, no?
  16. Ryan Freel can't hit, is an absolutely boneheaded baserunner, can't hit anymore, and doesn't play any position well. He really doesn't nothing well anymore except the "ability" to play everywhere but SS, 1B, and C. He certainly upgrades the Cubs in the DUI and pickoff department, though.
  17. OH. MY. GOD. LOL
  18. They are from Iowa, it all makes sense now.
  19. When he takes his glasses off, I lost it. "That cocky piece of [expletive]." There has to be a gif of Soriano shooting the Cards bullpen.
  20. With a Cubs fan. Aisle 32 Row 9 Anybody going to be in the area?
  21. Menopause is a bitch, ain't it?
  22. What a bunch of cry babies. Anybody who isn't excited for tonight should have their fan cards revoked. Stop bitching, but a Cubs shirt on, grow some balls, and root for your team. If you aren't excited, then stop watching sports, and definatley stop calling yourself a Cubs fan. Oh, btw, Go Reds.
  23. As a Bucs fan, if Larry English is there we will draft him. Everything I have read and heard says we absolutely love him. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up trading this pick for a QB, but if we have it the pick will be English guranteed.
  24. Don't mind Ward, he is an upgrad from Valentin as the designated fat guy PHer. Not sure what purpose Jacque serves though.
  25. No, he didn't. He posted three. Four seasons ago, he had a season very similar to this season, and he's now 31 with 675 innings on his arm in the last three years. He's past his peak and showing it. He is past his prime, I agree. That doesn't mean he's going to go 6-17 again this year.
