I could see Towers coming back to the Cubs to revive this, but since there was likely a 3rd team involved, if not a 4th it will be extremely tough to get done. Its a shame but lets wait till the Cubs sign Bradley/keep looking for suitors for Marquis/and Hendry peruses the offers for DeRosa allowing him to focus entirely on Peavy. Peavy and Axelrod being so pissed as well as the payroll cap Towers has, and the talks so far, I just don't see it being dead. Just put on the backburner. Some may disagree that this should be pushed aside, but whether you agree with Hendry's priorities or not, it may just well work out.
