    I'm for it as well...With Peavy anything but a sure thing the rotation needs to be taken care of. I hope if there's more money they can focus on paying someone like Furcal or Bradley, or trading for Hermida.

    I think DeRosa should stay. I don't think he nets us in a trade what hes truly worth. Especially with out RF situation undetermined. His ability to play RF and give above average offense at 2b is valuable. If we sign Bradley, we have to rely on someone like DeRosa to play 50 games there, unless we want to risk Fukudome again. I don't think sacrificing our offense for Peavy is a good idea. If the Cubs are truly in win now mode, they need to be taking their trade chips from their minor league system or another's. I think we give Fontenot another year off the bench and then when DeRosa walks he can have the full time job.

    bad showing by the pacers tonight...not that surprising, they're young and inconsistent, should be a battle for .500 all year long for them. rose is an absolute stud.

    if deng has the ball its an automatic foul on him, pacers cant handle the long athletic wings too well, thaddeus young destroyed them last night

    expected that start with the pacers on a back to back and the bulls rested...expecting a pacers run though

    pacers blew a 26 point lead last night. hope they do better tonight. they have no interior defense, but they can put up points. tj ford has had 4 near triple doubles in a row, the pg battle will be great to watch...and danny granger is becoming a star. should be a good game. go pacers

    I think if they are going after some of these guys there is definitely a significant bump in the payroll. If its a priority to sign Dempster and Wood, or at least one and get Peavy, that leaves the big hole of getting a lefty bat still on the checklist. I don't see Bradley and Furcal, but I definitely think the Cubs offer a contract to Ibanez or Bradley, preferably the latter. It will suck to watch him only play 100 games, but if hes around playoff time it will be forgiven. Either way, it will be nice to see one of those guys in the middle of our order next season.

    what sucks is grossman has to go into green bay next week and lose it for us again. once that happens there goes the division.

    Grossman's inability to move the offense is destroying us in the field position battle.

    grossman sucks, the pass rush sucks, the soft cover 2 pass coverage sucks, the run defense is insanely good though so i think we still win
