Derek Pegues sounds like someone the Bears would go with in the 4th. FS/CB tweener in a Cover 2 system, has return ability.

And you think the 99th best player in the draft is going to be good enough to start at FS? That's probably unlikely. Don't take it so literally. I don't mean Johnson coming in and starting right away. Rather someone who will take Bullock's place in the near future. And with the proper coaching yes I think the 99th best player in the draft could take that position over in year 1.

I'd like to see them keep Gilbert at DE. Although if he can rotate both and it doesn't bother him all the better. The Bears definitely need a FS with the next pick. We absolutely can not have Josh Bullocks starting for us.

ok. i thought we got a 3rd for berrian or something. or maybe im just making things up. We did. So we had 2, traded 1, traded back for 1. Now we have 2 again.

Well it's boring because I've been watching this draft for 5 hours but it's a good trade. Obviously there's no one jumping out for the Bears and they are getting picks to recoup for the trade and get more bodies on the defensive side. I've always been a trade down proponent.

Knowing Angelo the Bears trade down 7-8 spots or so and get a 5th or something.

Why is this William Moore guy falling? I wouldn't mind seeing the Bears pick up a S. #48 is up, Bears pick is next.

Gilbert's more of a 3-4 end or 4-3 DT. With no WR worthy of taking, I'd probably trade down anyway. Ah, didn't know that. Do they not like Johnson or is he just not worthy of 49?

Yup, Carolina traded up to get him. I don't see the Bears risking trading down if they want DE (Johnson or Gilbert)
