  1. And its a Thursday. Just hasn't felt right since the beginning.
  2. Pegged as a schedule loss all season. Though I think road teams are like 10-13 since Thursday night football came about - not that bad. Cautiously optimistic although once Cutler throws his 1st prime time pick I'm gonna feel awfully nervous.
  3. They are 3-3 now. Are they legit? I heard about of preseason hype from Pacer fans but not a lot outside of Indy. Btw that is a mind boggling quarter. Whats funny is I had to call AT&T tech support last night while watching the game, so I called at halftime and managed to miss the whole 3rd quarter. The Pacers are gonna be a bit of a surprise to people outside of Indy. The Pacers are at their best when they run the offense through Hibbert, hes on the verge of an all-star season. 16 pts/9 rebounds/4 assists and I believe he's leading the league in blocks per game. Paul George was a great pick at 10. Hansbrough is contributing. Nice young core, its finally enjoyable to root for this team again, whether or not their inconsistency causes them to miss the playoffs. And with all the money coming off the books after this season things are only getting better. Larry Bird did a great job with this team. Im leaning towards buying season tickets for them this Friday in Area 55.
  4. Just Cutler's improved ability to recognize blitzes and get the ball to his hot routes is huge, cutting down on turnovers and hits on the QB (1 sack yesterday wow). Yeah the offense is going to struggle. But the run defense of the other team isn't that important because they can't run against anybody (except Carolina). Cutler being able to throw a couple TD's a game combined with the defense and special teams is enough to win 3-4 more games. I think the Bears being at home here win this game.
  5. I don't know anything about college scheduling so this question will be bad. But since BSU gets screwed year in and year out because of SOS can't they just schedule some tougher teams? Whats their restriction there? The conference they play in?
  6. That's why he can't grow facial hair. [expletive] i have cancer
  7. Well nvmnd that summary is better.
  8. Is there such a thing as a hot streak in the NBA? If a player makes 10 shots in a row, thats a statistical probability, albeit small, correct? So how do you explain that a player feeling the "hot hand" or "in the zone" isn't on a hot streak. Does someone who shoots 50% have a higher percentage to hit his 5th shot after hes hit his 4th because he's feeling really good (like kobe scoring 81), or is it still 50% and the "heating up" is just not as important as people tend to believe? Is that just some type of psychological bias (kyle here?). http://www.rawbw.com/~deano/articles/aa121896.htm - Here's an article called "The Death of the Hot Hand" where statisticians tracked every shot of the 76ers in the 1980-81 season. Is this a bad way to define the hot hand?
  9. Sherry Magee From Wikipedia: A native of Clarendon, Pennsylvania, Magee was one of the premier hitters of the dead-ball era. He could hit, run and field, and played with intelligence and aggressively. Nevertheless, he has been one of the most underrated ballplayers in major league history.[citation needed] No need for the citation.
  10. I check out 82games.com from time to time.
  11. It seems to me he is just saying that to make the other option of having a salary cap and less-guaranteed contracts with "modest performance options" more palatable. Sell them on not losing as much in salary % and how they will make more money once revenues increase.
  12. Is Wright practicing?
  13. Haha, I'm right down the street from that canal, the thing is filthy. I'm guessing no one sat next to him when he was processed.
  14. I just got 2 club level tickets for the Pacers home opener for $30. And they threw in 2 tickets to their preseason game this Friday in for free. 7th or 8th in the East this year Pacers coming back to relevancy.
  15. Even hot sluts have their drawbacks
  16. I don't think anyone needs to be brought in. Hanie is perfectly fine as a backup, who has shown his ability to not be Todd Collins. The only QB mobile enough for this OL is Vick, and Collins isn't going anywhere with that guaranteed money he will be kept as the #3. Cutler finally missed 1 game in his career, I would be fine if they didn't even have Collins active and used that spot for either Grant/Wootton. The Giants game has freaked everyone out. And like I said before, LeFevour should have just been the #3 all along.
  17. Clearly. But if Todd Collins is playing I have no faith in what the team is going to do. If they happen to give up some points there's serious doubts about being able to come back. I have to imagine Hanie would get the start, whom I would trust to beat a Seattle team by 7 points on the road with the team the Bears have. If its Cutler, the 7 points definitely wouldn't bother me. How much has Seattle been outscored on the road this year? Seattle has lost by 17 points to both Denver and the Rams. I'm not putting Collins in the equation, hes the #3 QB now easy.
  18. Gruden's fellating of player x every week is getting old.
  19. Harvin is just destroying Revis. Hes got a lot of rust to shake off from missing camp and the injury. Cromartie has done really well on Moss outside of 1 play. Favre pick to end it how fitting
  20. Is Harvin burning Revis repeatedly?
  21. It was raining pretty hard. And its not like his WR have helped him out that much this game. In spite of all that rain you have to be able to make a 5 yard pass to a wide open receiver. And he certainly could have not overthrown Holmes on that deep pass when there was no rain. Just saying there would be a much wider point differential if Sanchez was having a better day. He did throw a catchable td pass to Keller if there wasn't a monsoon.
  22. If only sanchez could hit wide open receivers in the end zone
  23. He looks unbelievable, like hes 27 all over again.
