  1. Wow, this game lasted 6 hours and 53 minutes. Whats the record there?
  2. So the game will start, bada bing bada boom Cubs win. Let's drink.
  3. Well baker will be in there. Will Lou rest fukudome with Nady or leave a lefty in there?
  4. Like 14. And he's in the setup role, which is good to see.
  5. Vitters for Bell is just speculation from Levine, not even the idiocracy of Hendry would do that deal. I wouldn't get worked up over that scenario whatsoever. I also don't think he would gladly overpay, he might regrettably overpay and the Padres will be happy to get rid of Bell's contract. The only one who should be fired here is Levine. Remember, Ricketts is a big fan of the farm system and Hendry is actually good at trading away fringe prospects for talent.
  6. Agree with everything you say, though I'm not as high on Monroe as you are. And I liked Patterson as an option though I've soured on him a little, especially with Udoh's emergence. I'd rather them bring in Bledsoe or Henry to go along with Price and Rush. The exception being Udoh, as his defense is sorely needed. I wouldn't mind seeing the Pacers put together a package to bring in Hayward later in the draft if he declares, but I also would like to see him season up at Butler for another year, being a fan of Butler does give me some bias there.
  7. I don't understand how his numbers from last year could help any team. I could have hit a HR off of him last season.
  8. I'll say no thanks to both. Hope its Ekpe Udoh, Eric Bledsoe, or Xavier Henry. So will I. I wanted to say no to Ty Hansbrough. Alas, neither of us has a say. I have no faith in Bird to do this right. Chad Ford said Hayward was a late lottery to mid 1st guy, and I don't think I agree. I think he's a mid-to late 1st type of pick. I also wanted nothing to do with Hansbrough, and the glaring need for PG is evident. That's why I'd take a chance on Bledsoe. There's always a chance someone falls to 10, so I feel better than if the Pacers were picking their usual 11-20.
  9. I'll say no thanks to both. Hope its Ekpe Udoh, Eric Bledsoe, or Xavier Henry.
  10. "tbitw" "What?" "Have you heard?" "Heard what?" "Oh man, you haven't heard?!?" "Heard what?" "Oh man I can't believe you haven't heard!" "Heard WHAT?" "That the B-b-b-bird, bird, bird, b-bird's the word...."
  11. Look at Colvin's IsoD, its beautiful. I agree with his playing time and hope Lou sticks with it.
  12. There's just so many possibilities with that quote.
  13. I'm assuming this is because of his wrist? Is there any more info on this? Only thing I've seen is his x-rays were negative and he's day to day.
  14. I would definitely listen if she called in.
  15. Just scapegoat the bullpen people. They really suck.
  16. Someone who watched the game could give you a better answer. But based on the highlights I saw from the At Bat app he had very good command and sharp break on his pitches. His breaking balls had good sharp bite on the ends of them (inducing the 3 double plays).
  17. I concur with your optimism. They should stay in it till the trade deadline, the one area I have faith for Hendry to maneuver. Up the middle in the infield could surely use a boost. Once Lilly gets back and the bullpen gets settled (another possible mid season upgrade), the playoffs will certainly be attainable. In summation, tempered excitement with potential for more. Concurrently, worried the team will falter due to injury and the aging core will be held onto for false hope.
  18. I agree with the editing. Especially since I'm checking nsbb 90% of the time from my iPhone. That's besides the point though, I mean Fred's stats are a way worse culprit( I really don't mind). Its just that Duke sucks. Cmon, Brad Stevens is a Cubs fan. I digress, just win Cubs. And score some effin runs.
  19. I'm sure he applauded at all the appropriate times too. He also wore jorts. =D> Fantastic.
  20. I hate everything about it. And everyone involved. Especially whoever started it. I hate him the most.
  21. Soo Lou was seriously considering it? Really?
  22. I just want them to win so I don't have to read any articles like Melissa Isaacson's on ESPN Chicago for a while. Barf.
