  1. Haha, are you seeing ATL's current reliever? Gonzalez?? The swaying before the windup. Put him and Youkilis together, and they would ROCK on "Dancing With the Stars"!
  2. Since 9/1 through Game 1 of the DH today, the Brewers have lit the baseball world on fire by going a staggering 3-10 in that stretch. 3-7 at home.
  3. Hey careful now, don't want Warren Brusstar coming down on you for impatience!
  4. I don't care if Ike had of shifted off course and mostly missed Houston at the last possible moment, Selig should have moved this series to a safer locale anyways; and should have made that call when it first appeared that Houston would if not be directly in Ike's path, then very close to (which, if I'm not mistaken, was early Thursday sometime, if not before that). This is all on him. I blame McLain to a point, but it really falls to Bud.
  5. Here it is 2:15AM CST, on the Saturday that Ike is now landfall, and nothing official has been set up on playing this series... either Sunday/Monday or following the regular season. Screw you, Bud. Screw you. [-(
  6. I know he's fighting for his team, and that's commendable, but I'd really like to give a big rousing round of applause for both Drayton McLane and Bud Selig. Drayton, thanks for caring about money more than your own team or its loyal fans. I know the MLB is big business, but forcing the issue with a high-Cat2/low-Cat3 hurricane bearing down on your hometown and ballpark?? Bud, thank you for being such a spineless wuss and not putting your foot down in telling the Astros, and Cubs, you are going to either TB or ATL to play this weekend. Houston, you'll use those gates to help replace the refunds of tickets you sold for this weekend's scheduled games in MMP. Let's hear it everybody! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  7. Drayton McLain can go take a flying leap. If he hadn't been fighting this so hard, the Brewers could have been gone after their game last night to another city and avoided all this. (of course, with the weather situation all over, TB would have been the only realistic choice [from his POV], or maybe ATL).
  8. Except he said it like 3 days ago after he got done blowing a save, which makes it all the more mindblowing. Ok, so 4 games ago for each... Cubs in last 4 games [all road games] = 2-2 Brewers in last 4 games [3 home (CIN) & 1 road] = 1-3 #-o :-$ , Salomon!
  9. Hey Salomon? How's that prediction coming along?? Cubs in their last 11 (6 of those road games) = 3-8 Brewers in their last 11 (10 of those home games [7 vs SD & CIN]) = 3-8
  10. That whole AB + aftermath is branded into my memory banks. I still get shivers of joygasm just thinking about it.
  11. NL Playoffs HFA magic number : 12 NL Central magic number : 11 NL Postseason birth magic number : 8
  12. Yes, because we all know that the Cubs just love having to play in the Cardinals' home field for 6 straight games! [-(
  13. Not only that, but they only seem to be planning FOR Ike, not its after-effects. Who's to say that Houston (MMP) will have power after it blows through? The area won't be flooded? Lots of fans won't be stuck having to fix their homes? Or the airports will be in good enough condition for the Cubs to fly into?
  14. This has to be Houston's doing. Greed really is the root of all evil.
  15. I wouldn't be quite so fast to give the Brewers the win tonight, fellas. They just finished a 10-game homestand, 7 of which vs SD [4] & CIN[3] , at 3-7 (2 vs SD & 1 vs CIN). Here's to hoping for a sweep by the Phils, making the WC race HELLA fun to watch the last 2 weeks.
  16. If Bud Selig doesn't put his foot down on this and move the series, he will forever cement himself, historically, in place as worst Commissioner of MLB. YOU "run" the MLB, Bud, NOT the Houston Astros and their management!!
  17. Ladies and germs, we have a winner! :good: (oh my word... hotness of that level is illegal in 10 states and most of Canada)
  18. Somebody's smashed; before he even uncorks his champaign!
  19. Aside from the dome part (no protection from rain), ATL would suit the purpose as well. Maybe not AS close as Tampa, but within the area.
  20. The KC/StL stuff is our own speculation (my own, anywho). Its not up to me, but if it were... I'd move the series to avoid possible endangerment.
  21. I want to face LAD before ARI in the NLDS, but man has that team (offense specifically) turned it on as of late. I am going to be two-faced and say I think the D'bags are done. A week & a half, to two weeks, ago I was saying that LAD was done.
  22. Its looking like KC or StL would stand the best chance of getting the series in at the currently scheduled times, while keeping it as close to HOU as possible.
  23. Unless they play a DH on Friday and a 12 or 1p local start on Saturday, it'd be a no-go for Arlington too... (according to the current track).
