Ok, here's what we need to have happen for the games after Thursday to have absolutely no meaning at all (aka, clinch a postseason birth, division, AND HFA) - Mets could tie if finished 10-0, but Cubs would have finish 0-10; - Cubs sweep Brewers [postseason clinched] - Fish beat Astros just once in the 3-game series in FLA [division clinched] - (pretty much impossible, but hey...) Washington sweeps Mets in a 4-gamer in DC [HFA effectively clinched] So.. since a Nats sweep (or even 3 Nats wins) of the Mets is pretty much out of the question, let's hope they take 2 and that will leave the HFA magic number at 3 [if Cubs sweep MIL].

Eh, I would think just the opposite. May light a fire for the rest of the year knowing noone is safe and everybody has to fight for a job. Frankly, I hope they pick it up enough to win the WC because I really would rather not play the Phils in a 5 game series. Even though we'd get the first 2 at home, vs anyone, I agree. Much rather have to face LAD in the NLDS before Philly.

Its just widescreen, instead of full HD. And yeah... kinda hard on the eyes. But I'll take very crap TV over no TV! (still fuming on no TV for last night!!) Yeah but this is wide screen is strange, it's partially cutting off part of the wording. Oh well... Hmm, not seeing that on DirecTV. Its just bad SD quality, despite being WS.

Cubs won and Z threw the no-hitter only because the game was held in Milwaukee. Just ask Drayton McLane and Cecil Cooper;

Hurricane Ike is the real reason for Z's no-hitter. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8565620/ I don't mean make light of the devastation in Houston caused by Ike, but cmon... if you really are a playoff team, you absolutely can not use this excuse as to why you just got no-hit, very near perfect game thrown on your azzes. I suppose it was such a huge benefit to the Cubs to get thrown out of their scheduled rhythm while Selig/MLB and McLain took their slow arse time in finally picking a site and times to play these games? =; If you want to pull the "'home field away from home'" excuse if the Cubs won, fine... but don't make that the reason for near perfect, no-hitter game. Astros got shut down by a very rare pitching performance... wouldn't have mattered location the game was played at last night.
