  1. headcase pitching? he's missing the zone by inches - in what way is it headcase pitching?
  2. remember to look for raisin . . .
  3. wow, does jones always run weird like that?
  4. Yep, bad lineup without Kent and Nomar, not great with them. I'll be disappointed if LA gets more than 2 runs tonight. Lowe will be tough on the freeswinging Cubs though. are the cubs that free-swinging? Hopefully Murton and Lee can run up some pitch counts at least. And Walker.
  5. maddux is tough on lefties too though - and frankly, that lineup is not very good.
  6. right handed teams are going to have real problems with the cubs (not really related to last night). I think we've seen it with beating the cardinals and not beating the reds. bring wood and prior back and the cubs should continue to beat the cardinals. other than edmonds, they have no left handed threat. can we confirm the len kaspur sighting?
  7. wow, I just noticed on the schedule that all the unbeatens face off in interleague right away - if they are still unbeaten anyway.
  8. and kudos to maddux for giving them some rest.
  9. boy, I hate to see Blanco in there. I really like the idea that the bottom of the order can produce some runs - to me this is a big improvement over cubs teams of the recent past. Last year, you might as well have not watched after Ramirez hit . . .
  10. time for Z to get it together. anyone think he is trying to do too much with prior and wood out?
  11. I think the rest of us are pretty happy that you are, too. thank goodness you got batista in, eh?
  12. I hate that park.
  13. I would prefer to see him face a little better competition than low A though.
  14. on the upside the cards only won 2-1 and izzy looked pretty iffy what difference does that make? Honestly though, there is no reason to even think about any teams except the cubs and the team they are playing. if they take care of business, they'll be there at the end.
  15. brandon phillips rbi double today.
  16. whoa! clean-shaven! yea, he is pretty good.
  17. He would be serviceable in right field. He definitely has the arm for it. His power would make him ideal to have to platoon alongside Jacque. With Pagan out, I'd think Dubois would be a good player to have around right now. is he any better than restovich?
  18. cubs.com This is our chance to get a look at Aardsma!! You KNOW, he's looking at you!!! http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_430911.jpg Interesting, since you're the one who decides when they get pulled from the game, Dusty. I just don't understand how he can blame (seemingly) everyone except for himself for the problems that crop up with the team. It's amazing that no one else can share in the problems. Do you think he may be making the point that the starters have not been going deep into the game?
  19. yea, but he is not likeable. speaking of not likeable, what's the bonds pool at?
  20. if you missed the deadline today, I will change them for you or you can have an extension until tonight's games aside from players who are already playing of course. send me a pm.
  21. johan will settle down. pitching is far more erratic than hitting anyway.
  22. stupid patriots day - you can adjust your lineup now other than today's starters if you want.
  23. that was intentional too.
  24. one of the most underrated 1b coaches around.
