  1. crap, what happened to the easy win Packer game on opening day...
  2. No Carter?!?!?!?! There goes the 2007 season.
  3. The latest SI Mock has the Bears taking Robert Meachem http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/don_banks/03/23/mock.draft4.part3/index.html With the latest signings of Archuleta and Adams, I wouldn't mind Meachem. Too good of talent to pass up.
  4. Or to facilitate a trade? The Houstan Texans have traded their 1st round pick to the Chicago Bears for Dante Wesley. 8-)
  5. If we can't fill all teams can we start to double up? I'll take on another team if needed, preferably in the top 10 to avoid confict of interest with the Bears. :)
  6. Tyrone Carter = camp fodder.
  7. That's awesome. I missed the first half hour of the show last night. "Spend time with your kids, so Peyton Manning doesn't have to." that was good "GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR A$$! YOU SUCK!"
  8. I'm not reading that site until they fix those tag errors
  9. The radar gun was off. I don't think he actually topped 90. doh, they need to fix those radar readings.. :?
  10. I swear I thought the radar gun for Miller was showing 94 MPH? Am I off my rocker?
  11. Probably because he was a white cat.
  12. But the player they "coveted" wasn't even that good. Many scouts thought that Manny Lawson was the best player on that NC State defense, not Mario Williams. If you are taken a DE #1 overall he better be Juluis Peppers good.
  13. I'd perfer he master the art of closer, but good luck to him. http://www.cnn.com/SHOWBIZ/9712/18/farley.obit.3/swords.jpg
  14. I'd take Gasols brother over McRoberts. I think we can all agree McRoberts will be pathetic in the NBA right?
  15. The cut Domanick Davis as well. Their GM should realize that you can, you know, trade players that are on your team and get something back. It said in my link that they tried to find somebody to trade Carr to, but nobody would trade anything for him. I heard that the reason nobody would trade for him is becuase they would then have to take on his current contract which called for him to make over $11 million this year. I also heard that there will be interest and have heard Miami quite a bit - after they release Daunte Culpepper. They could have tried to restructure with him just for the purpose of a trade. See the Adam Archuleta deal. Here is my opinion of the Texans. They simply don't understand how to make deals in the NFL. 1) Mario Williams - Regardless of your Reggie Bush opinion, they could have easily dealt down and still got Williams 2) Matt Scaub - Seriously, who in the NFL even came close to the Texans offer. It is like they picked up the phone and asked them what they wanted for Schuab and said yes to their first answer 3) David Carr - Again, no effort to swing a trade. It is like this organization doesn't even care. The question is though, why would a team give up anything knowing now that the Texans pretty much had to cut Carr if they couldn't work out a trade. Why give up a pick needlessly and then go through having to re-structure the deal? On to your other points: 1) Not from what I was hearing. What I gathered was that either Williams or AJ Hawk would be the first defensive player to go. But both would likely be gone in the top 5-7, not really worth the risk to trade down if Williams was truly the man the Texans wanted. 2) No disagreement here. That was an awful trade for the Texans, despite the good return they got. 3) I don't see anything that even hints that they didn't make an effort to trade him. Everything I've heard is that they tried all offseason making it known he was available and trying to ship him off. It's just everybody knew he would be cut and were willing to pick him up on a 1-2 year deal. I thought the Jets really wanted Bush and wanted to trade up?

  17. The Texans are the dumbest franchise in the NFL.
  18. Is his stuff really better vs. Dontrelle Willis?
  19. Exactly. And the Peter Gammons moments are worth every penny. If you enjoy watching an hour of Yankees/Redsox's jock sniffing
  20. Never [/fantasy]
  21. This is why Duke sucks...lol http://my.break.com/media/view.aspx?ContentID=252443
  22. I love the point that Jim Rome made on his TV show today. The Texans passed up Matt Leinart, Vince Young, and Jay Cutler to end up with Schaub. LOL...to draft a guy who some didn't even think was even the best defensive player on his own college team.
  23. 48 MILLION! For a guy who has only thrown a few hundred passes in the NFL. Good lord. Although I guess they do throw around that kind of money to rookies who've never even thrown a pass in the NFL. I don't know whats worse, the contract, or the arse raping they took in terms of draft picks.
