Even if he becomes a very good starter, the Texans have the 26 year old QB for maybe 7 good years while the Falcons will have the opportunity to take two extra potentially great starters as well as now having the opportunity to get LaRon Landry while the Texans just blew their opportunity to grab Peterson. I heard that they had Lynch over Peterson on their draft board. :lol:

Wow, the worst FO in football(even worse than Millen IMO) :roll: :lol: :shock: :?: #-o :-s :-k I think that covers all the emotions I'm feeling for Texan fans right now. That is a pitifully bad trade. Moving down from a few spots in the top 10 and giving up their next two 2nd rounders? Sad, very very sad. I remember reading a study that found more pro-bowlers come from the 2nd round vs. the first. I wish I could find that article. Mind you these are almost first round picks given that well they are the Texans.

That is a ludacris statement, while I love Mike Brown, this team will not be 500 without him. How many games has he played the last 2 years, and yet the Bears are 24-8 duing the regular season. Last two years Bears 15-3 with Brown 9-5 without. For his career. The Bears are 45-40 with Brown and 13-14 without. When Brown went out last year our defense went from 1st to 13th. Then when Harris went out our defense went from 13th to 28th. How crazy was my statement? As goes Mike Brown so goes the Bears. 1) 9-5 is not .500(last I checked) 2) You can't count Brown's entire tenure with the Bears as some of those teams were very bad as a whole 1) You are also assuming the overall team this year will be as good as last year. IMO this is a 11-5, 10-6 team with Brown right now, and a 9-7, 8-8 team without. (as of right now, without draft, later fa signings, etc.) 2. No you cant, but the record shows that the Bears are a better team with him then without. Wow, and I thought I was a pessimist.

I heard that the deal is now. Houston and Atlanta swap first round picks this year. Atlanta gets Houstons 2nd this year AND next year. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: priceless.

Speaking of history, this is the Texans and I'm confident this move(like many things they have done will go down the toilet for them). I guess they don't understand the concept of an Oline and running game.

Lots of people think Schaub could start for most teams. Hell, a lot of people think Schaub should start for his current team. And he sure has an impressive career resume of 6TD's and a 69 rating to back it up. This guy has been living off a few lights out preseason performances. All hype. I hate to pull out the two word argument, but: Sample. Size. Then how does that sample size prove that Schaub is an upgrade over Carr or even Delhomme for that matter?

I still would like the Bears to end up with a Grossman/Carr combination at QB next season. I'd bet they give him away at this point. Typical case of an organization blaming 100% of its problems on a QB.

49er's have shown interest. I really think that is where he is going. They need an OT bad but I don't think Levi Brown is worth that high of pick. San Fran was also hot after A. Thomas in FA, so this makes sense for them.

OMFG - 4.37 as a LINEBACKER? That's it - I want this guy. He could be the Julius Peppers of linebackers - freaky athleticism. Better trade up.

Lovie is at Texas' pro day today. Probably for Griffin and Blaylock. It seems Jerry is giving Lovie more of a role in terms of scouting/player personell. IIRC, Lovie did alot of scouting on D. Manning. Not quite sure if this is a good or bad thing to be honest.
