  1. The Afternoon slot was doing awful against Waddle & Silvy, can't imagine this changes anything though. No clue why they broke up Spiegel & Parkins though. They were killing it against Kapman and Carmen & Jurko. I wonder if they could have held their own against Waddle & Silvy with more time together. If B and G were getting crushed then I suppose this makes a bit more sense. Still doesn't mean I'm not switching over to npr full time.
  2. So if I heard right, there's a new guy heading the score who is friends with McNeil so he basically shook everything up just to get him back in the afternoon slot? That seems like a brilliant idea.
  3. Guide says 2 pm central on nbc So they're showing it again? I literally just watched it from 12-1pm EST Hope so, because I'm going to watch the horsefeathers out of it.

  5. I was at that game and it was awweeesssoooommmeeee.
  6. I wasn't sure either, and a quick IMDb led me to find this move called "they came together". Looking at the cast, I can't believe I've never heard of it and this has to be the greatest movie ever.
  7. Wait, am I missing something or is that list missing Larson's game?
  8. Balls are pretty common. As for food, we always walked somewhere outside the hotel. No idea where the players/org people go.
  9. I don't see anything wrong with playing the best games from the previous season in the offseason, id watch that even if it came after a shitty Cubs season. The ridiculous part is how they are advertising it.
  10. Do you think he meant to go by dick love lad or is that just a typo?
  11. Maybe I'm just missing something, but what is the inspiration behind that?
  12. It's been a long time since I've gone, but figure out what panels you want to go to and get there early.
  13. without being able to strike anybody out and with a lot of walks? I doubt it. Wade Davis in 2011 as a starter: 5.1 K/9, 3.1 BB/9 Wade Davis in 2012 as a reliever: 11.1 K/9, 3.7 BB/9 Chatwood last year: 7.3 K/9, 4.7 BB/9 Not saying he will become a closer, let alone a good one like Davis, but there is precedent for a mediocre starter with a middling K/BB rate to become a dominant reliever by increasing his K rate.
  14. Hopefully that throwing to the left problem improves. Clearly still an issue.
  15. That explanation by Fox is such horsefeathers. Literally the first time i saw a replay i said “geez i hope they don’t call that a touchback”. Yeah, especially since it just happened in another game only a couple weeks ago.
  16. Yeah, it's infrequent enough to not complain but still happening nonetheless.
  17. That's a clown move, bro.
  18. Isn't a Maddux a complete game shutout under 100 pitches?
  19. That was like the first thing I noticed.
  20. I was at the first home game after 9-11 when sammy hit a homer and rounded the bases with the American flag. I also was on the rooftops when aRamis walked off on the same day rose evicerated the celtics. I was at an April cubs cards game where barrett hit a grands lam to give the cubs the sweep on sunday night. I also went to a shitty hot game against the pirates where jason marquis pitched and the cubs lost 3-0.
  21. I remember being at spring training 2014 and telling my wife just wait until you see this Baez dude, and then he didnt do anything that game. Last years coming out party in the division series was very satisfying, as Javy was pretty much my favorite dude in the minors, and the whole damn world got to see it.
  22. I can't believe that is only 68. God this past year was awesome.
  23. Best case scenario IMO.
  24. I played left and center back through high school, and was always the guy who handled the headers off of goalie punts, especially in high school. I remember some of those late season games that it was so cold that the ball hitting your head felt like a rock. I think about those header competitions we used to have in practice and wonder what damage I did to myself. I don't notice any mental deficiency, but then I see those studies like that als one an wonder.
  25. Mine is probably Bones. Fringe was a step up from that show. I guess I could also say One Tree Hill, but no way, that show was the bees knees.
