  1. same Edit: actually I forgot it was my work iPhone that had the problem, not my pixel
  2. Plus, if you give it to a kid, theres like a greater than 50 percent chance you are getting a free beer out of it (which i got when I caught and gave my kosuke fukodome foul ball to a kid).
  3. You shouldn't give it to the kid to "avoid the situation," you should give it to the kid because that was clearly who was supposed to get it. I assume he's just talking about a foul ball, which still, I would give it to a random kid unless my kid was there.
  4. It's the home run derby. Cheat all you want if it means more majestic dongs.
  5. I get to play my final regular season Wiffle series this year in 90+ degree heat. And that series is basically meaningless as we are essentially already locked in to our playoff matchup.
  6. https://deadspin-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/deadspin.com/extremely-online-baseball-knowers-go-to-war-over-games-1826657358/amp?amp_js_v=a2&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQECAE4AQ%3D%3D#referrer=https://www.google.com&amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fdeadspin.com%2Fextremely-online-baseball-knowers-go-to-war-over-games-1826657358
  7. But the course wasn't the same for everyone. The first people that teed off shot like -6, and as the course dried out, the scores went up dramatically.
  8. The world cup is the best. What a goal.
  9. About 4 years ago, after visiting my grandparents, my wife and I decided to spend the weekend in downtown Phoenix. We were unaware how dead it was. We honestly thought something was wrong when on a Friday night there was quite literally no one around. We could walk down the middle of the main streets without even the chance of getting hit by a car. There were some cool bars though.
  10. Wait, the Packers drafted a punter AND a long snapper?
  11. I'd be happy with someone like Nelson, as I view him as fairly safe with ability to provide immediate impact. But if there's an impact rusher available, I don't see how they can pass that up. So if pace believes that Landry has that ability, then I will be all for that pick.
  12. PFF did their mock and have the Bears going Landry, with Chubb still on the board, no less. That was a "what would I do" mock and not a prediction though. What was their line of reasoning for taking Landry over Chubb? Pace may really want a pass rusher, but if Chubb is there he's taking him.
  13. Along those lines, my buddy was thinking they may take Harold Landry with the 8th pick.
  14. I haven't had ATT in Wheaton yet (only Comcast since we moved here), but my previous experience with ATT internet in the Chicago burbs is that it sucks and is way slower and more spotty than Comcast, which I have not had an issue with (other than paying way too much).
  15. I don't think the Brewers will be too worried about their closer going down. They've got the best 6 through 8 closers in the league.
  16. That missed strike 3 call winds up screwing us over. Robot umps for the love of god.
  17. I've always envisioned it finally happening on some sort of buzzer beater or something. The fact that it's going to be like a 20 point win makes it sort of anti climactic.
  18. I'm calling it. UMBC is taking Virginia down. Down this much in the second half, and Virginia's calling card is d? It's over.
  19. The best part of b and g was when they would diverge from sports. When they branched out, I learned awesome things like diacovering my new favorite spicy condiment sambal olek. I'm not sure how anyone could actually listen to 5 hours straight of sports talk.
  20. The Afternoon slot was doing awful against Waddle & Silvy, can't imagine this changes anything though. No clue why they broke up Spiegel & Parkins though. They were killing it against Kapman and Carmen & Jurko. I wonder if they could have held their own against Waddle & Silvy with more time together. If B and G were getting crushed then I suppose this makes a bit more sense. Still doesn't mean I'm not switching over to npr full time.
  21. So if I heard right, there's a new guy heading the score who is friends with McNeil so he basically shook everything up just to get him back in the afternoon slot? That seems like a brilliant idea.
  22. Guide says 2 pm central on nbc So they're showing it again? I literally just watched it from 12-1pm EST Hope so, because I'm going to watch the horsefeathers out of it.
