  1. another day another trade proposal from backtobanks that i dont like at all
  2. Take PMR with a grain of salt please.
  3. He'd be an insurance policy in the bullpen if we trade Sean Marshall and Rich Harden goes in for his bimonthly DL stints. He's a pretty neutral lefty/righty split guy though in the pen.
  4. Laugh it up, it's a legitimate comparison
  5. He's looking for a one year deal. If he's cheap enough, it's probably worth a flyer on him. You know the whole Cardinals approach of throwing crap on the wall and seeing which one sticks. thoughts on his cost? im really not sure what the price is
  6. Dayan has been around seemingly forever now. Just 19. Jesus. Given that Dayan was a free agent, it's not a surprise that he got a major league contract. I'd say 10-15 first rounders each season would be given one if there was no draft. He's a front half first round talent no doubt. Probably top 2 or 3 pick talent.
  7. Hey can we trade Ryan Harvey for Hanley Ramirez while we're at it?
  8. Meph Challenge Week 4 #5 Oklahoma 49-28 over #2 Texas Tech #3 Florida 49-3 over The Citadel #7 Penn State 45-17 over #17 Michigan State #8 Utah 24-21 over #16 BYU #9 Boise State 35-17 over Nevada #10 Ohio State 28-13 over Michigan #15 TCU 17-14 over Air Force #18 LSU 21-20 over Ole Miss #20 Pittsburgh 30-23 over #19 Cincinatti Arizona 21-17 over #21 Oregon State Florida State 28-27 #22 Maryland #25 North Carolina 28-21 over NC State #1 Washington 24-21 over #2 Washington State
  9. lol I have a conference game at Mizzou. its 25 degrees and snowing.
  10. Man I haven't fired up my dynasty in NCAA 2009 in a few months. I'm going to do that right now, I have sick fast guys all about: QB's: Freddie Weaver: 82 OVR, 89 SPD, 93 THP, 78 THA - True Fr Jason Johnson: 81 OVR, 94 SPD, 80 THP, 76 THA - RS Fr Kevin Inman: 77 OVR, 85 SPD, 91 THP, 84 THA - Rs Fr Weaver was a QB when I got him. Jason Johnson fell into my lap. He was a three star athlete who had nothing mentioned about his arm and accuracy. Still, with that speed? Damn. Those are all the QBs on my roster. HB's Mark Ward: 85 OVR, 95 SPD - RS Fr Lee Johnson: 83 OVR, 95 SPD - Fr Jason Battle: 82 OVR, 95 SPD - RS Fr I have one other crappy back, a freshman who is like 85 SPD and 75 overall. WR's Joey Oliver: 88 OVR, 94 SPD - Fr Chase Powers: 83 OVR, 95 SPD - Fr Evan Meadows: 82 OVR, 95 SPD - Fr Erik Todd: 81 OVR, 98 SPD - Rs Fr Brian Wilson: 78 OVR, 92 SPD - Fr Eric Sanders: 77 OVR, 99 SPD - Fr That's all of my WRs. I cut the rest of them in order to be able to make pitches to get good ones for PT. I am SMU, I sucked the first couple of years. I play on Heisman with some additional sliders. Sanders though, true fresh with 99 SPD...but he's listed as 6'5". C'mon I have three DE's with speed over 80. I have an 87 speed OLB. I have CBs with speed: 98, 97, 96 and 94. I have a FS with speed 94. In my next recruiting class, speed is the name of the game again. I have a CB commit with A+ spd, B ovt #5 nationally. I suspect he's going to be a beast. I have a DE commit with B+ speed, #21 overall. He is the fastest DE I have recruited. I also have a FS B OVR with A SPD. Really I only recruit speed. I am a Urban Meyer guy, I guess. SMU Mustangs bitches. I have the difficulty up ridiculously though. Its a bitch completing passes consistently with my QBs. They have poor accuracy and throw a bazillion picks. While Jason Johnson is a 94 SPD, his low arm strength and low accuracy means he can't complete passes over 10 yards worth crap on heisman.. Weaver can get the ball down field, but not very accurately. On Heisman trying to throw the ball down field makes you respect your QBs THA stat. Not so much on lower difficulties. I am almost done with the season, Inman has a 2:0 TD:INT, 29:15 for Weaver and 8:8 for Johnson. Though, my WRs have so much speed, they get gobs of yards after the catch. In a few years though, my offense is going to be a beast.
  11. theres nothing more fun than running the option in NCAA Football 2009
  12. Georgia Tech just rolled up 470 yards of rushing on Miami, if you weren't watching. 56 rushes for 470 yards. Five weeks ago Georgia Tech rolled up 79 yards rushing on Gardner-Webb on 47 rushes. Go figure. Lovely triple option. Maybe Nebraska needs to go back to it....
  13. and still not really one of the best dozen or two teams in football. go MAC! almost as bad as the Sun Belt!
  14. how many guys are going to get hurt? this has to be six or seven
  15. im not saying it does. dont put words in my mouth please. fact is hoffpauir isnt very good as a starter. limited upside and huge risk. it's dumb to give him the job.
  16. note that micah's career minor leagues OPS is .833. note that derrek lee's OPS in 2008 was .823
  17. Big third down sacked! punt coming
  18. wow that was a bad spot
  19. Davis almost scrambled for a first. Fourth and one inside their own 40.
  20. ball state cmu has been great thus far CMU up 10-7 4 mins left in first half.
  21. dammit ball states getting the breaks
  22. The Sugar Bowl has second to last and will (probably) have their choice between the Big East winner - Cincinnati and Utah. With Alabama sitting there, they will probably take Utah over Cinci. If Florida is sitting there, the Urban Utah story is something they can't pass up. I think it will be Utah vs. SEC winner. Note: Fiesta choosing Utah over USC?
