  1. Florida might put up 100 on Utah. Urban would show respect. It's Utah. student (Whittingham) vs master (Meyer) It would actually be interesting - for the first 10 minutes that it was competitive. yeah but even if florida stayed number one in the AP poll after this week. They wont be number one in the AP poll at the end of the season, even if they won 55-3 or something. If UT wins, the voters will say "alas its all the same we knew UT was better than OU the entire time!" If OU wins, the voters will say "alas OU must be the best because they killed everyone and revenged the loss earlier in the season proving it had to be a fluke." Does the BCS require (non championship games) no rematches? I wonder if the sugar bowl would rather have a SEC title game rematch....

  3. BCS is set, I think: Rose Bowl: USC vs Penn State Fiesta Bowl: Alabama vs Ohio State Sugar Bowl: Florida vs Utah Orange Bowl: Cincinnati vs Virginia Tech National Championship: Texas vs Oklahoma
  4. Its going to be Texas and Oklahoma.
  5. The more points that OU scores, the more likely we get an UT vs OU rematch in the title game (and that means an alabama ohio state fiesta bowl).
  6. wow you really caught me in a clever trap stop talking about baseball players and college football, you know nothing oh dont change the subject! i won that one fair and square!
  7. Wouldn't that be great. UT and Alabama. Florida and Oklahoma. Ole Miss and Texas Tech.
  8. No and yes he's a redshirt sophomore. He can come out if he wants.
  9. then you read the last one. otherwise you wouldnt have known what i said.
  10. apparently you just did
  11. Now you're learning. Seriously, you can look at different stats that try to measure the best offense and you will get different answers. So if you want to make the argument for a certain team, just choose that stat, like you did. The real answer in the argument is subjective when you argue the merit of said statistic, but at that point, in general you're going to end up arguing semantics to the point where the random variation in the statistics is much greater than the difference between the two teams so the only logical answer is that they're more or less equivalent and any difference between the two is insignificant.
  12. it doesn't help that they are playing against the best offense in the history of college football TOUCHDOWN OU! 24-7 Its too bad that the reality is that they may not even be the best offense this season. florida's could be better. in all likelihood, you have to consider them equal. you can't say one is better than the other for certain. my bad. STATISTICALLY, they are the best offense of all time its too bad this isn't true either. statistics can be made to say anything. i'd be one to know. im a bit of a god when it comes to numbers. im sorry you're wrong.

  14. thats the first thing hendry looks at when he's deciding whether or not to go after a guy. believe me, hendrys already looked at all of jake peavy's high school game films to see if he can play 2b
  15. god mizzous defense is terrible.
  16. ive always liked scott hairston. he can also play 2b in a pinch if needed. hes arbitration eligible and ought to make a mil or two.
  17. I think youll see more to this story
  18. Can Mizzou play defense?
  19. I guess you can say that if you ignore the entire season.
  20. Great seats still available! werent they giving away seats?
  21. I tried to get RedFlash caught in a bet I knew he couldn't pass up that would cause him to leave, but he never saw it. Sigh. For what its worth, Riley Cooper (aka Jeff Samardzija white boy WR on Florida) is a possible second round talent in baseball as a speedy centerfielder. White boys who can run still end up playing baseball, it seems. Cooper can run a 4.30 or so. I dunno what his projection is in the NFL draft down the road. From what I've gathered he could go first day. He was actually a top three round talent coming out of high school prior to getting injured playing football.
  22. For those who didn't notice (the announcers made no mention of it). Florida's freshman stud Chris Rainey, who would have split the carries with Demps and spent time outside on the edge as WR to replace Harvin, got one carry early in the game and didn't play the rest of the game. He was out of uniform the second half. He's been battling an injury the last five weeks and it looks like he was shaken up. Florida played that game without two of their three top three non QB playmakers on offense. Honestly though, I think that the results would have been the same had Rainey been able to go. He's a clone of Demps, so they probably didn't lose much. The carries who would have gone to Demps went to James, who did nothing. Really though, the lack of Harvin did changeup the Florida offense considerably.
  23. No, but he's sincere when he says it.
  24. Yeah, totally classless by Tartt.
