  1. some guy who drives in runs with his glove....and occasionally aaron miles.
  2. For the record the Cubs have won the last two division championships and the Cardinals haven't. The Cardinals may do somethings better than we do, but trading for a guy like Khalil Greene isn't it. You bet your ass it's a better move than things we do. It's going to be one of the best moves (by any team) of the offseason. I would rather have traded for Greene than resigned Dempster, and that debates not even close. The Cardinals have what? 9 WS wins to our 2? And won one of them three years ago...
  3. This is why the Cardinals win championships and we are the butt end of all the jokes.
  4. His players will take a bullet for him, you have to give him that.
  5. The best character coach in college football is Ron Zook, but he can't coach worth crap.
  6. Is that supposed to be a putdown?
  7. Nah, the SEC stunk that year.
  8. Auburn, obviously, recognizes that the 2004 team won a National Championship in football.
  9. it probably depends on who they bring in to replace him, but i don't think tuberville will be out of a job for long. Go 47-16 over the last five seasons and you lose your job. Compare that to Miss. St's reluctance to fire Croom after he went 21-38 over that same time span (and 8 of those 21 wins came in one year!). Two of the coaches fired this offseason, Phil Fulmer and Tommy Tuberville, had a combined career record of 237-92. They had also coached at their respective school for a combined 27 years. A lot of history fired this offseason. And in a matter of 380 days three national championship winning coaches with long tenures were let go. Lloyd Carr.
  10. Because he hasn't been talked about in two or three pages (damn Ball State and Vol talk!) http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f189/kctigers23/Blood-Bath-small.jpg Tim Tebow is the ultimate bad ass.
  11. Actually, when Ohio State is officially the final BCS team, the Big Ten won't have enough bowl eligible teams to send someone to the Motor City Bowl. You're going to facing one of the lower ACC teams, probably NC State or Wake Forest.
  12. problem is youll likely lose 2 of those 3 matchups
  13. Tuberville, yuck. Tuberville could find a job in a heartbeat if he does not want to take the year off. Miss State had better be on the phones.
  14. $5 says Howry's better than any reliever we have outside or Marmol, and perhaps Samardzija.
  15. Guys the biggest game, BCS wise, might be Cincinnati versus Hawaii this weekend. In the Colley Play God feature, right now Texas is sitting #1, Oklahoma sitting #2, Alabama sitting #3 and Florida sitting #4. If we enter Oklahoma over Missouri and Florida over Alabama, Texas drops to #2, Oklahoma moves up to #1 and Florida slides up to #3. However, if we add Cincinnati losing to Hawaii, then Oklahoma drops from #1 to #3 and Florida goes from #3 to #1. If you think that has a very little chance of happening. Consider their Sagarin predictor. despite being top 15, Cincy's is 77.06 #36 in the country. Hawaii's is 63.05 and has been rising like crazy. Sure they're a good two touchdown favorite, but their intensity has been peaking lately. They have losses are to Oregon State, Florida, Boise State and a (at the time) solid San Jose State team. They're certainly capable of knocking off Cincy this weekend. On the BCS scale this game has as much importance as any other game this weekend.
  16. Then you would be wrong. http://gopsusports.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/lee_sean00.html
  17. With bonuses and all Meyer's going to earn nearly $3 million a season for the duration of his contract at Florida. If ND ever did offer him a massive contract, you'd have to think Florida would sweeten the deal. He also gets a $60,000 travel account, $100,000 in "Family Education Expenses" and so on.
  18. I'm not sure why everyone would think that Urban Meyer would consider going there now. He had his choice between Notre Dame and Florida, he chose Florida, and obviously with a possibility of two national titles in four years, he made the right choice. Why would he want to leave this gig? The only way Meyer bolts is if someone wants to bring his offense to the NFL.
  19. All of BadKnees' redshirts were medical. Had Ingram redshirted for medical reasons in 04, he would have been able to apply for a medical redshirt this season.
  20. Penn State's Sean Lee got a medical redshirt for this season (and he's a senior). Do you have to apply for it prior to your senior season? pretty sure meph is wrong (gasp!) No, He's not eligible for one because he was non-medically redshirted in 2004 by the Zooker. Had that one been a medical redshirt as well, he would have been eligible to petition the NCAA for a sixth year. Lee's medical redshirt was just an old-fashioned redshirt. There really is not such thing as a medical redshirt. You can petition the NCAA for extra ones, provided they're all medical related.
  21. Yeah he's a senior and isn't eligible for a medical redshirt.
  22. Cornelius Ingram? That'd be a boon for Florida. Yep. I doubt he'd be very effective this weekend. Aaron Hernandez has actually done quite well in his own right. In 2007 the Gators loved using two tight end sets in the spread, they simply don't have the depth at tight end to do that this season. If a defensive coordinator wanted to plan for that, they need to watch game film from 2007 as well. However, by January 8th, if the Gators get there, he could be the Ingram of old.
  23. Sorry RedFlash (and Utah)
  24. Arguably the best receiving tight end in the nation could be ready to play on Saturday, making the country's best offense even more dynamic.
  25. Sanka... you dead?
