  1. Yup I do. Do you really want Floridas D to face 1 of the top rushing teams in the country? We can keep your offense off the field. You arent ranked number 1 in points scored, rushing yards, or passing yards. Please put your magical numbers out there that show Florida is the best offense in the nation. Cause the stats disagree The stupid stats disagree. Points Per Game - Schedule Rank - Team 1. 48.0 - 153 - Hawaii 2. 45.8 - 101 - Kansas 3. 44.2 - 122 - Boise State 4. 43.4 - 69 - Oklahoma 5. 42.9 - 9 - Florida Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Running up the score heavily affects PPG. Can you just admit you hate Florida and the SEC. Margin of victory this year: Hawaii: 24.5 Kansas: 31.6 Boise State: 25.9 Oklahoma: 25 Florida: 17.6 And you're accusing Florida of running up the score. Ive never had a problem with Florida or the SEC until I read this thread every week and see the bashing of the Big Ten no matter what happens, and the ass kissing of everything Florida Gators and SEC. can you admit you hate the Big Ten? i dont hate the big ten. i say things how they are...and the world today is that the big ten isnt very good and the sec is very good and the gators are one of the top ten teams despite their 3 losses and the gators offense is the number one offense in the country. ill be the first to admit that last years florida team didnt deserve to be in the nc and wasnt the best team in the nation. it has little to do with me being an actual florida fan.

I don't know if Florida runs up the score or not, but those stats prove nothing. Florida plays in the SEC, and, thereby, won't get the opportunity to run up the score many times. They'll play close games and lower their margin of victory. Heck, they have three losses to lower their margin of victory. You can only run up the score when you're up big, and, generally, you're not up big against fellow SEC teams. florida dropped 59 on tennessee and 51 on south carolina
  3. LSU's rushing attack is better than Illinois'. Are you saying right now that UF will lose to Illinois. Just come out and say it please. I already did read the post you quoted when asking me this. U of I averages more yards per game and rushed for more yards on the season than LSU. and lsu has faced better run defenses while keeping a similar yards per rush attempt

  5. Florida is #1 in pass efficiency...against the number 9 schedule. Florida is #1 in yards per pass...against the number 9 schedule Florida is #2 in 3rd down conversion percentage...against the number 9 schedule Florida is #15 in yards per rush...against the number 9 schedule Florida is #6 in interceptions thrown...against the number 9 schedule (and the teams ahead of them...passing offenses like Navy, Air Force, WVU, etc). Florida is #2 in yards per play...against the number 9 schedule. Yeah, I think it's safe to say that running up the score isn't the reason they're that good. They are simply the best offense in the country and it's not debatable. Scary thing is EVERYBODY is gonna be back next season except Caldwell....and they'll have a real running back
  6. Florida #14 in the nation in rush defense (YPG) Florida #14 in the nation in rush defense (YPA) Florida #9 schedule in the nation.

  8. Yup I do. Do you really want Floridas D to face 1 of the top rushing teams in the country? We can keep your offense off the field. Sure why not. Our defense has been good against the run. Our offense will keep itself off the field....by scoring at will. 32 rushes 38 yards - Western Kentucky 26 rushes 53 yards - Troy 21 rushes 37 yards - Tennessee 21 rushes 80 yards - Ole Miss 44 rushes 99 yards - Auburn 52 rushes 247 yards - LSU 35 rushes 97 yards - Kentucky 44 rushes 196 yards - Georgia 33 rushes 93 yards - Vanderbilt 26 rushes 68 yards - South Carolina 36 rushes 71 yards - Florida Atlantic Two teams were succesful rushing the ball agains the Gators, and by successful they still did not average 5 yards an attempt. Florida's every bit as good as Illinois at rushing the ball you know. Florida's offense is the best in the country. Their defense isn't, but their defense is fine against the run...which is why a team like Hawaii would match up well.
  9. Do you really want Illinois to face the best offense in the entire country? Number 1.
  10. Dukes fball team does that for everybody. Except some teams in the Big Ten. ZINGER!
  11. Kansas is a top five team the same way South Florida and Boston College were top five teams. BC lost at Maryland and USF lost at Rutgers and at home against Cincinnati. Kansas has had games as tough as those, and won them all. You completely missed the analogy. Cincinnati's every bit as good as USF. Kansas hasn't played someone in Cinci's league. Rutgers is roughly equivalent to Okie State, KUs best game. When USF was number 2 they had wins over Auburn and West Virginia. Kansas hasn't played a single opponent of that quality. Kansas has beaten 6-5 Okie State. OUTSTANDING! BC's resume wasn't as good as USF's. BC had a win (albeit lucky one) against Virginia Tech -- Kansas has not faced anyone remotely close to their talent level. At the time, USF and BC had beaten MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better opponents than Kansas had and hadn't lost a game. You're point's misguided, and simply put: Wrong. South Floridas played a real schedule, KU hasnt
  12. Kansas is a top five team the same way South Florida and Boston College were top five teams -- except even USF and BC had some quality wins. Kansas has played the schedule equivalent to Bowling Green's. If Bowling Green was undefeated right now, where would they be ranked? 10-15 same as Hawaii. Kansas is to five because people *think* they've played a decent schedule because they're in the big XII, but they haven't. We have no reason to believe they're better than #11 or #12 right now. Kansas hasn't played a single top thirty opponent, not one.
  13. The population growth since the 1950s and the growth of ML teams has been nearly identical. Only baseball let in nonwhite players. obviously todays game is significantly more competitive than the game cobb (and ruth) played in.
  14. Im fairly certain he's done all of that.
  15. Hawaii would get beat by more than 9 teams I can assure...Floridas better overall although Hawaii might have a slight edge in a game between the two.
  16. I caught Kris some when he was in HS. My lord did the guy fit the perfect description of Rick Vaughn.
  17. Because weighting one game so heavily is stupid? That said both Auburn and South Florida should be top 25 and South Florida should be ahead of Auburn and in the top 20.
  18. Games between ranked teams ---------------------------- (3) Missouri at (2) Kansas 35-28 (20) Connecticut at (4) West Virginia 28-17 (11) USC at (7) Arizona State 28-21 (8) Virginia Tech at (16) Virginia 17-14 (17) Boise State at (14) Hawaii 42-35 Good Top 25 games ------------------- Arkansas at (1) LSU 41-17 (6) Georgia at Georgia Tech 35-21 (9) Oregon at UCLA 21-17 Oklahoma State at (10) Oklahoma 42-14 (If Bradfords fine) Florida State at (12) Florida 48-31 (13) Texas at Texas A&M 28-24 (19) Tennessee at Kentucky 24-21 (21) Clemson at South Carolina 28-27 Utah at (23) BYU 31-28 Alabama at (25) Auburn 17-10 Top 25 mismatches ------------------ Miami at (15) Boston College 35-21 (24) Cincinnati at Syracuse 38-17
  19. yeah this makes a lot of sense it does...with a healthy tim tebow who would have won that game? uf...the only reason you want to put uga ahead of uf is because they won the game. there you guys go again, treating wins as absolute and final....theyre not.
  20. Im pretty sure Jarred Fernandez knows where his knuckleball is going to wind up: On the mantle in someone's den
  21. The Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox and Rangers have expressed interest in him.
  22. Neither can Theriot... Trying to rationalize Cubs' management's thought process is like trying to dodge cars on a free way blindfolded with the drivers blindfolded as well. It can't be done, but if you attempt it you're going to get hurt.
  23. Now for the weekly Meph Rankings 1. 10-1 Louisiana State 2. 9-1 West Virginia 3. 9-1 Arizona State 4. 9-1 Missouri 5. 10-1 Ohio State 6. 8-3 Florida 7. 9-2 Georgia 8. 8-2 Southern California 9. 9-2 Virginia Tech 10. 11-0 Kansas 11. 8-2 Oklahoma 12. 9-2 Texas 13. 8-2 Oregon 14. 9-2 Boston College 15. 10-0 Hawaii 16. 10-1 Boise State 17. 8-3 South Florida 18. 8-3 Illinois 19. 8-3 Tennessee 20. 9-2 Connecticut 21. 8-3 Cincinnati 22. 8-3 Clemson 23. 9-2 Virginia 24. 7-4 Auburn 25. 2-9 Notre Dame
  24. There is only a logjam because delusional yankee fans (im not saying youre one of them) think that melky cabrera is better than a fourth outfielder.
