  1. I think its pretty obvious that Lou has no confidence in Soto anymore, and Hill will be our starting catcher by May. Guaranteed They were talking on the radio how Geo said he was embarrassed about his play last year. At least he didn't blame it on the city of Chicago or the fans, LOL.
  2. Can't believe some of the stuff Aram swings at sometimes. And D Lee on the basepaths today? Pass me another cold Busweiser.
  3. I don't know. There could be quite a list of candidates for that role. It's still early.
  4. In the preseason, BA had him as the #63 HS Sr. in the country. He's definitely higher than that at this point from the buzz he has rec'd. No one can believe he's that low. It's cool watching someone your kid played with come to this point.
  5. Not really. Pretty much everyone thinks he sucks. Except the only people who get a say in the matter. Exactly what I meant. Well put.
  6. There's a kid at my son's high school that is amazing (Minooka Community High School, Minooka, IL). Had 23 scouts at the home opener a couple of weeks ago. He's committed to Texas, but we'll see. He throws mid-90's and can HIT, too. Has had back to back two-three run homer games already. Name is Mike Foltynewicz. Looking forward to seeing where he goes and how he does. Been watching him play since he was 11, and he's always been a standout.
  7. Totally overrated, but he'll keep getting the chances. I hope he turns it around and does it fast.
  8. Samardzija is so overrated. Marshall was outstanding... TOTAL bright spot of the day.
  9. How quickly we lower the bar... from winning the Cy Young to getting out of the inning.
  10. LOL... I'm picturing some poor sap Cubs fan just turning this game on now and seeing Marshall warming up in the 1st. WHAT???
  11. I did have Fontenot on there, not sure if he's still on though, haven't been to Twitter lately.

  13. I think Ramirez is going to have a killer season next year. It seems that the shoulder is not near 100 percent just yet, but the offseason should take care of that.
  14. Only about 50 times a season!
  15. He's gotta go. Period. He's a big distraction. And you can bet that those comments from his teammates were severely tempered. No one in the clubhouse wants him to stay. The rotten year wasn't all on him, but he hasn't taken a sliver of any blame for anything. I can't stand those people who blame everyone else.
  16. Inflammation in his knee. Thanks...
  17. Seriously, I didn't hear and was wondering--what was Bradley's deal for being a late scratch and not playing today (Sat.)?
  18. He hasn't had a great season, but he hasn't had a bad one either. But the bottom line is that he wasn't brought here this year, and paid what he was paid, to have anywhere near the season he's had this year.
  19. One way to make baseball more interesting.. have them play football teams.
  20. Gotta love the dropoff on the game threads!
  21. I don't like Bradley. I've never liked Bradley. I probably never will like Bradley. I was not happy when I heard the Cubs got him, but I hoped for the best, and this is definitely not what I hoped for, what we got out of him this season. Is he the worst player on the team? No. But his production this year isn't what it should have been, and he was definitely a key player in the Cubs craptastic season both in his attitude and on-field play. If he doesn't want to play in Chicago, then he needs to be let go for the team's sake and his own.
