  1. At the very least a reason to tune in every day. It's awesome. But you naturally start setting ridiculously high standards. Like you really expect him to homer just about every at bat. Not thinking he might, but you start to expect it. Absolutely. And when you are a fan of the opposing team, you start dreading when he'll be coming up next but yet secretly looking forward to it because he's that good and cool to watch.

  3. That's the thing when the games are on Fox. There will be plenty of not-so-subtle reminders of how much the Cubs suck.
  4. That was funny in a sick sort of way.
  5. Yeah. Who really cares who's in the lineup, not like it matters! Fox is at least fun to watch.
  6. A healthy Cub team playing to near their abilities blows this Cardinal team away. Wait, wait, wait...what's hilarious about what he said? You honestly think this team healthy and the players performing even just close to expected levels would not be a good team? We should be running away with the division, but we are the Cubs. So instead we have everyone crap their bed or get hurt in the same year. It is what it is. Personally, I think I have a lot lower tolerance level for it because of how the last two years ended up, specifically the post season.

You honestly think this team healthy and the players performing even just close to expected levels would not be a good team? Are we assuming Soriano isn't healthy?
  8. Swagger, then chemistry, then grit, then winning (apparently)
  9. This is ridiculous. The last two games I missed the first few innings and also missed all the scoring (by the Cubs that is)
  10. why is that so weird? Usually it's more like... bye, take care, thanks for coming, go Cubs .... wasn't really concerned about my safety at that point, but I guess you can never be too careful
  11. Grace and Farnsworth were prowling outside with their rape van. LOL!
  12. Moreland said the weirdest thing to me once. I was at the Cubs Convention years ago getting my pic with him and as I walked off he said, "Stay safe." Uh, ok, whatever that means.
  13. This has been the longest-feeling half-season I can ever remember.
  14. Cards are not the better team, maybe smarter, but not better. They waited for the Cubs to make a mistake and they capitalize on it. .....which is something a good team does. Exactly.
  15. Cards are not the better team, maybe smarter, but not better. They waited for the Cubs to make a mistake and they capitalize on it. I think they're the better team, and I'm a Cubs fan. The Cubs have executed poorly all season, it's really starting to make me sick.
  16. Really, no chemistry whatsoever. Which wouldn't be so bad, but they suck at baseball too. That is true. We're lucky to have hit the chemistry and baseball talent jackpot this season.
  17. I don't know what to think of this team anymore.
